Taking a break from my research to write on a personal note

Ephesians 6:2-3, "'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with promise: 'that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.'"
(Thank you, Brother for posting this as it helped me form my thoughts that I felt today)

It's a great verse for a child, as it does indeed promise a longer life than if you were rebellious.  (no, I am not going to get into what if the parents were bad or what about the kids that die young as an accident or otherwise)

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

This verse may not be a promise so much as a hope to parents.

So what of those in-between years.  Or even more especially, those years that a child must part from the path of their parent and find out just what exactly they believe and prove why they believe it?

Those are heart-thudding spaces of silence that a parent can do nothing but sit and be still all the while allowing the Lord to work out the child's salvation.

Those parents that interfere, whether out of fear, which is mostly the case, or anger, will find themselves only further pushing their beloved down a path that they'd rather not see them go.

I am reminded of the Israelites and the wandering in the desert of 40 years.  It could've been a short journey, but those who should've kept their mouth shut, didn't.

When I was a young woman, attending a ceramic class in college, it suddenly hit me just what was going on in my own life.  I, through a series of life-changing mistakes found myself paying dearly.  However, if it weren't for the pain I was experiencing, I would have probably not come to the conclusion of just how forgiving, my Savior was.

I struggled to pound the clay down, and I would remind myself to keep my hands moist as I molded the clay upon the wheel.  It hurt really bad.  My hands were skinned and raw, but I was determined to make that clay pot.

Punch down the clay, form it's peak, only to punch down and reform it.  It took a long time to get it just so.  I let it dry upon the rack.  Afterward, with detailed care, I painted it.

Then I cast it into the fire.

Such a hot, hot flame.  I left it overnight, hoping that it wouldn't crack, that I would have a beautiful piece of art when I returned.

One day I remembered the verse in Isaiah, I don't know why it came to mind, maybe because of a hymn or something along those lines:

Isaiah 64:7-8 Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.
(8)And yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.

At that moment I realized that it was not only I that hurt.  Jesus hurt too.  As He built us up, and molded us down, He was wounded because of our transgressions. Even though He hid his presence for a moment while we dried...He called us back and painted us and we became something with much beauty.  Only now we had to be tried...tested to make sure we would stand the heat of the fire and not crack.  Even though we felt like we were all alone in that kiln...we were on His mind.

Had someone come along and told Him that "Don't press them so hard...or all that spinning is going to make them crazy.  They'll never survive the pain of being alone, what are you doing?"  Or even worse, "Please don't let them hurt, if only I can go through this trial instead of them"

Isaiah 45:9 Woe to the one who argues with his Maker-- one clay pot among many. Does clay say to the one forming it, What are you making? Or does your work say, He has no hands?

Be still and know that God is God and that He is working His will... but we are still fearful.  What if our child doesn't come back?  And that is a hard question.  This is why I do not say, "He promises us that."

Romans 9:20-21
On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
(21)When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn't he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into?

It is here that we must apply faith, and prayer.  We must hope that our children will indeed return to the path they were raised in.  I am not God, but I will say this...there is a far better chance of a child returning to a parent that prays and allows God to work with their heart, than one that tries to control the situation.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Never mind the scoffers, the brothers and sisters in Christ that will most assuredly cast blame.  It is often at our times of weariness that Satan sends his barbs to fully exhaust us.

You will cry, and that is ok.
You will be angry, that is ok too.

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

He fully understands the pain of waiting while His children fall and pass through the trials of testing.
Not only did He go through it...but in return, He had to lead us through it.

Hotel Zsa Zsa

In keeping with the creepy hotel themes,  pictures were just leaked out of another hotel in Houston, called Hotel Zsa Zsa.     It's very stylish and ritzy

A frequent guest got more than he bargained for when he was accidentally booked into Room 322.

This room it is not advertised on the hotel’s website and, in short, is the definition of creepy. This is what the Redditor posted:
"stay here frequently when on business. Hotel was booked solid and my colleague managed to score a room unplanned. We all had normal zaza style rooms (swank) and he ended up in this goth dungeon closet.
Seriously- the room had a chain holding the bed to wall, pictures of skulls and a creepy, incongruous portrait of an old man. Room was about 1/3 the normal size with the furniture blocking part of the TV, bed and window.
We asked about it at the front desk and the clerk looked it up and said ” that room isn’t supposed to be rented.’ and immediately moved him."
So what did he see?  Well, he took pictures and what was seen is nothing short of very distubing:
The floor is hard, dirty concrete, unlike any other room in the hotel.
Concrete floor?  Why would such a fancy hotel not finish the flooring in this room?
The room is about a third of the size of other rooms in the hotel. The mirror is embedded in the brick wall, leading some Redditors to think that it is actually a two-way mirror...
Two way mirror? That's very look at the bed

The bed is chained to the wall. Why?
Why would the bed be chained to the wall?  Then you notice the walls.  There is no way I'd ever stay in a room like this!

Skull frame on the wall. Rather appropriate since 322 is the Skull and Bones' sacred number.
As if to honor the room number, there is a picture of a skull.  Skull and Bones?

Skull clock
Skull clock

A very creepy painting above the bed depicting two girls with dead eyes and deformed, elongated necks. Does this image represent split personalities?
This very creepy photo is at one end of the bed.  I see a theme here...Monarch Programming

Another creepy image above the bed of a guy with huge eyes. Does this represent an all-seeing handler?
This guy is at the head of the bed!

Overseeing the room is the picture of a man. According to some, it is Jay Comeaux, President at Stanford Group Company. Why is this random elite guy on the wall? WHY??
This may the most creepy of all of the is a picture of Jay Comeaux, President of Stanford Group Company. Why is this random elite guy on the wall?
This looks like the perfect place to traumatize someone.
This room would cause anyone trauma just being in there.

Hair Balls was able to track down ZaZa spokesperson Kyra Coots, who ruins some of the fun, explaining that 322 is just one of the hotel’s theme rooms. It’s called Hard Times. And the theme? Prison. There are other theme rooms, Coots explains, like the Ship’s Cabin. And she goes on to say that the ZaZa’s owner was living in the room for a few months. (She gives some of the same answers to the Houston Chronicle.)
I'm not buying that story at all.  There is not a soul out there that could convince me that a guest would be able to sleep in a room like that.

After researching a little more, I wasn't at all surprised to see that the hotel has a restaurant coined,  The Monarch

Another possible clue about the Elisa Lam case

Several years ago while working the kids watched a movie called Dark Water. Wait before you judge, I didn't vote to watch it, but all of the boys did and the other staff agreed  The movie was a thriller about a haunted run down apt.:

Dahlia Williams and her daughter Cecelia move into a rundown apartment on New York's Roosevelt Island. She is currently in midst of divorce proceedings and the apartment, though near an excellent school for her daughter, is all she can afford. From the time she arrives, there are mysterious occurrences and there is a constant drip from the ceiling in her daughter's bedroom. There are also the noises coming from the apartment directly above hers, though it would appear to be vacant. Is the apartment haunted or is there a simpler explanation?

Bold text is mine.  Why did I text this? Well, it was on my mind for some reason as I watched the trailer for the new movie Dark Skies...

All this Dark everything, Dark Knight, Dark Skies, Dark Shadows, Bud Black....and all of the other countless black beer commercials that come on during the Super Bowl, that went dark.

I have been hesitant to post this as this is once again just one more movie that seems to proceed a strange mystery murder.

As I had stated before, Elisa Lam stayed at the Hotel Cecil
What I had failed to write before was the infamous "Black Dahlia" stayed there as well.

The park where the Black Dahlia (Elizabeth Short) body parts is only 5 miles from the hotel.

Elizabeth Short:

At age 19, Short travelled to Vallejo, California, to live with her father, who was working nearby at Mare Island Naval Shipyard on San Francisco Bay. The two moved to Los Angeles in early 1943, but an altercation resulted in her leaving there and finding work in the post exchange at Camp Cooke (now Vandenberg Air Force Base), near Lompoc, California. Short next moved to Santa Barbara, where she was arrested on September 23, 1943, for underage drinking. Following her arrest, she was sent back to Medford by the juvenile authorities in Santa Barbara. Short then returned to Florida to live, with occasional visits back to Massachusetts.

Major Matthew Michael Gordon Jr
In Florida, Short met Major Matthew Michael Gordon Jr., a decorated United States Army Air Forces officer who was assigned to the 2nd Air Commando Group and in training for deployment to China Burma India Theater of Operations. Short told friends that Gordon wrote her a letter from India proposing marriage while he was recovering from injuries sustained from an airplane crash. She accepted his proposal, but Gordon died in a second airplane crash on August 10, 1945, before he could return to the United States. She later exaggerated this story, saying that they were married and had a child who died. Although Gordon's friends in the air commandos confirmed that Gordon and Short were engaged, his family denied any connection after Short's murder.

The body of Elizabeth Short was found in the Leimert Park district of Los Angeles on January 15, 1947. Her remains had been left on a vacant lot on the west side of South Norton Avenue midway between Coliseum Street and West 39th Street (at 34.0164°N 118.333°W). The body was discovered by local resident Betty Bersinger, who was walking with her three-year-old daughter around 10 a.m.;[6][1] Bersinger initially mistook the body for a discarded store mannequin.[1] Upon realizing it was a corpse, Bersinger rushed to a nearby house where she phoned the police.[1]
Short's severely mutilated body was severed at the waist and completely drained of blood.[7] Her face had been slashed from the corners of her mouth toward her ears, creating an effect called the Glasgow smile. Short also had multiple cuts on her thigh and breasts, where entire portions of flesh had been removed.[1] The body had been washed and cleaned and had been "posed" with her hands over her head, her elbows bent at right angles, and her legs spread.[1][5] Near the body detectives found a cement sack which contained droplets of watery blood, as well as a heel print on the ground amidst tire tracks.

For those who are unsure what a Glasgow smile is, well here is a photo:

I won't post the actual photo of the Black Dahlia, it's pretty disturbing.

However, I am beginning to really question if anything is a coincidence at all...

In the Movie we have the mother named Dahlia (name of unsolved murder), her little girls is named Cecelia(Hotel Cecil)

The murdered girl's name is Elisa(?could be a short version of Elizabeth?)
A drug with the same name Lam Elisa that combats Tb and then the outbreak of the drug-resistant strain only 3 blocks from where they found the body.

In the movie, there is a faulty elevator that frequently gets stuck.  There is black water dripping from the ceiling from the room above( The guest complained of black water coming from the pipes when they brushed their teeth and showered.)

There is a body on the roof in the water tower. (both)

I am curious as to the company that is dab smack in the middle of the hotel building:
Company called Invisible Lights Agency

If you do a google search you'll see it but when you click on it's link all that comes up is this:

Holy cow....I just noticed the staircase...the symbol is the staircase!

~just a quick edit~  When you click the link to the Invisible Light, you will have to zoom the photo all the way in close and then you'll see the hotel and the arrow pointing in-between the building~

Video of Elisa Lam in Elevator

Surveillance video of Elisa Lam shows bizarre behavior

Surveillance video of 21-year-old Elisa Lam, the Canadian woman found dead in the rooftop water tank of the Cecil Hotel, shows her acting bizarrely in the Los Angeles hotel's elevator.
The Hotel is famed to have housed serial killers:

Hotel with corpse in water tank has notorious past

Los Angeles (CNN) -- The Cecil Hotel's dark past earned it a spot on Los Angeles tours long before a woman's body was found inside its rooftop water tank.
"It's the place where serial killers stay," said tour guide Richard Schave.
Schave and his wife, Kim Cooper, conduct a "true crime and oddities" tour they call "Hotel Horrors & Main Street Vice."
The new mystery surrounding Elisa Lam's death will be added to Cooper's spiel during the tour stops at the Cecil Hotel, she said.

Woman's body found in hotel's water tank
Cooper and Schave have made it their job to compile details on those who have killed or been killed while staying at the Cecil.
The killers
The most famous on their list are serial killers Richard Ramirez and Jack Unterweger.
Ramirez, known as the "Nightstalker," now resides on California's death row, but in 1985 he was living on the Cecil's top floor in a $14 a night room, Cooper said.
The Cecil, filled then with hundreds of transients living in the cheap rooms, was a good place for Ramirez to go unnoticed as he killed 13 women, Schave said. He was "just dumping his bloody clothes in the Dumpster at the end of his evening and going in the back entrance."
Jack Unterweger worked as a journalist covering Los Angeles crime for an Austrian magazine in 1991 when he moved into the Cecil.
"We believe he was living at the Cecil in homage to Ramirez," Schave said.
He is blamed with killing three prostitutes in Los Angeles while a guest at the Cecil.

Breaking** TB Outbreak in L.A.

LOS ANGELES ( — The feds are descending on downtown Los Angeles to combat what they say might be a dangerous outbreak of a drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.

Jeff Nguyen, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, went downtown in search of people who may have been exposed.
John Williams started living at the Weingart shelter on LA’s Skid Row two weeks ago. Before he could be admitted he had to undergo a screening for tuberculosis.

Thousands could've been exposed

What's interesting to me is that Skid Row is only a four blocks from where they found that girl in the Hotel Cecil at 640 S. Main St.  I was online last night watching the video of her in the elevator, and it was apparent that she was being followed by someone

What was her name? Elisa Lam

 Is this a coincidence?

Urine LAM-ELISA poor at diagnosing TB   Urine LAM-ELISA does not appear to be useful as an independent diagnostic test for pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). A trial of the new diagnostic, described in the open access journal BMC Infectious Diseases found that it was only capable of identifying 50.7% of TB cases.

DHS Contractor Apologizes For Selling Shooting Targets of Children

In its apology, posted on the company’s website as well as Facebook, LET acknowledged that the targets were requested by law enforcement agencies.
We apologize for the offensive nature of our “No More Hesitation” products. These products have been taken offline due to the opinions expressed by so many, including members of the law enforcement community.
This product line was originally requested and designed by the law enforcement community to train police officers for unusually complex situations where split-second decisions could lead to unnecessary loss of life.
Consistent with our company mission as a training supplier (not a training methods company), we will continue to seek input from law enforcement professionals to better serve their training objectives and qualification needs. We sincerely appreciate law enforcement professionals for the risks they take in providing safety and defending freedom.
The company’s excuse that the targets were designed to help police prevent “unnecessary loss of life” is highly dubious given that the images were all of armed individuals termed “non-traditional threats,” designed to ensure “no more hesitation” from police officers encountering them.
As one respondent to the company explained, “Look, each of the supposed “threats” appeared to be in their own home settings. They were also all holding a weapon….it is obvious these paper targets were never intended to be decoy (don’t shoot targets). It is apparent this was designed to assist in desensitizing the trainee.”
In addition, the company had previously struck a different tone when it told Reason’s Mike Riggs that the targets were designed to combat, “hesitation on the part of cops when deadly force is required on subjects with atypical age, frailty or condition.”
Although the targets have been taken off the company’s website, it’s unclear whether or not they have been removed from sale entirely.
Mike Lilly, a retired 32-year police officer, demanded that the targets be discontinued completely.
“Whomever convinced you this was a good idea needs psychological counseling. Proper training and readiness is NOT dependent on shooting pictures of pregnant women and children. Anyone who says otherwise is seriously mistaken or has another agenda It is noted that you say they were taken OFFLINE. Have they been DISCONTINUED AND RECALLED?” he stated.
Lilly’s concern was echoed by retired City of Houston police officer T.F. Stern, who asked why police officers were being trained “to feel nothing’s wrong in shooting a pregnant lady or an old man with a shotgun inside his own home.”

The second "mass" murder in Aurora, this man

The second gunman to cause multiple fatalies in Aurora, Colorado in seven months has been identified by neighbors as 33-year-old

Police in Aurora, Colorado — the same town where James Holmes allegedly killed moviegoers during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises — are still trying to learn why a man shot and killed two men and a woman in his home before police shot and killed and him following a standoff.
The shooter's name hasn't been officially released, reports the Denver Post, which said sources identified him as Sonny Archuleta, a freelance artist. Police are calling the shootings "the worst-case scenario." They were called to the two-story house shortly before 3 a.m. by a woman who escaped by jumping from an upstairs bedroom window.
During a six-hour standoff, the gunman hung up on officers and ignored their pleas for him to come out. There are conflicting reports over whether Archuleta died of self-inflicted wounds or whether SWAT team shooters killed him.

He lived 4 miles from the theatre where James Holmes was said to "shoot up"

He is a believer in God.

He is tattooed with guess what????

Superman, the Man of Steel

And so we begin again!

VA prohibiting the ownership of firearms

BREAKING NEWS: Veterans are receiving letters from VA prohibiting the ownership or purchase of firearms... Developing...

Written By Constitutional Attorney Michael Connelly, J.D.
How would you feel if you received a letter from the U.S. Government informing you that because of a physical or mental condition that the government says you have it is proposing to rule that you are incompetent to handle your own financial affairs? Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse.
What if that letter also stated: “A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2).”?
That makes is sound like something right from a documentary on a tyrannical dictatorship somewhere in the world. Yet, as I write this I have a copy of such a letter right in front of me. It is being sent by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of America’s heroes. In my capacity as Executive Director of the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) I have been contacted by some of these veterans and the stories I am getting are appalling.
The letter provides no specifics on the reasons for the proposed finding of incompetency; just that is based on a determination by someone in the VA. In every state in the United States no one can be declared incompetent to administer their own affairs without due process of law and that usually requires a judicial hearing with evidence being offered to prove to a judge that the person is indeed incompetent. This is a requirement of the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that states that no person shall “… be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law…”.
Obviously, the Department of Veterans Affairs can’t be bothered by such impediments as the Constitution, particularly since they are clearly pushing to fulfill one of Obama’s main goals, the disarming of the American people. Janet Napolitano has already warned law enforcement that some of the most dangerous among us are America’s heroes, our veterans, and now according to this letter from the VA they can be prohibited from buying or even possessing a firearm because of a physical or mental disability.

Click on the source link and you will indeed see the actual letter that was sent.  I am unable to copy and paste it.

Obama to visit Israel

US President Barack Obama is expected to arrive in Jerusalem on March 20 for a three-day trip which will also take him to the West Bank city of Ramallah, media reports and a Palestinian official said.
According to a draft itinerary published in Israel's top-selling Yediot Aharonot, Obama will begin his first-ever visit to Israel as president on March 20.
He was expected to land at Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv then hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later in the day.
The next day, he would spend the morning holding talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas at his West Bank headquarters in Ramallah.
A Palestinian official, speaking on condition of anonymity, concurred.
"President Obama will visit our area for two days. He will be in Israel on March 20 and March 21 in Palestine," he told AFP.
Yediot said that after the Ramallah talks Obama would return to Jerusalem and address the Israeli public.
"The Americans have asked that at least 1,000 Israelis be present as an audience," it said.
It said Obama would also hold a breakfast meeting with Netanyahu on March 22 and join him on a visit to an Iron Dome missile defence battery before leaving for neighbouring Jordan.
The White House confirmed the visit last week but did not give dates for the trip, which it said would include stops in the Palestinian territories and Jordan.
It has kept expectations deliberately low about the possible outcome of the visit, saying Obama has no plans to use the trip to push new proposals to break the more than two-year deadlock in peace talks.
On Sunday, Netanyahu said his talks with Obama would focus on three issues: Iran's nuclear programme, the conflict in Syria and the diplomatic process with the Palestinians.

In Israel, nervous energy ahead of Obama visit

JERUSALEM — A month before US President Barack Obama's scheduled state visit, Israeli officials are already working overtime.

In a bit of mutual one-upmanship on Monday, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled an official name for the logistical arrangements surrounding the presidential visit and the office of the Israeli president, Shimon Peres, announced Obama will be the first sitting American president to be awarded Israel's Presidential Medal of Distinction.
Netanyahu, who designated the visit "Operation Unbreakable Alliance" (or, in slightly less breathy Hebrew, Covenant of Peoples), and who used his Facebook page to urge cyber citizens to vote on an official logo for the visit, was perceived to be engaging in a bit of clumsy overkill, betraying a hint of nervousness before the trip.

The general tittering about the name and the Facebook competition came on the heels of a weekend in which Netanyahu, who has often fumbled his public relations image, was caught with a state-sponsored personal ice cream consumption budget of almost $3,000.
The fraught Netanyahu-Obama relationship has been described as joyful as a "loveless marriage," and Israeli officials are working overtime to make sure this is a successful visit.
A month after elections in which Netanyahu's power was seriously eroded, he is still far from being able to form a new government. Israeli political analysts have started speculating that he will be unable to in the six weeks allotted to him. Netanyahu can request a two week extension, but some are going so far as to entertain the thought of new elections being called.
This Obama visit, if it goes well, could burnish Netanyahu's claim to be the only legitimate candidate for prime minister.

While it is common in many countries for logistical officers responsible for a state visit to bequeath "the operation" with a name, in Israel, this is normally done at random by a computer. And no state visit in memory, including that of other American presidents, has been branded with a logo.
One close observer, who requested to remain nameless, sighed deeply before saying, "As always, even when they have a good idea, they do it ridiculously. Instead of letting the computer decide, they went overboard as if they are shouting, 'We're best buddies! Best friends!'"
He added, "They think public participation is good."
Few Israelis doubt that. In fact, a Facebook page calling on Obama to give a "Speech for Peace" in Tel Aviv's Rabin Square has gotten more than 17,000 likes, though no response, as of yet, from the White House.
An official from the prime minister's office said the efforts are a way to harness the “energy” the visit has generated in Israel.
"The public is excited and I think the idea was to take a lot of that energy and try to get the public involved,” the official told GlobalPost. “The idea is to use new media to further that goal. Everything is transparent, everything is open for discussion, and people who don't think we're doing it right can say so."
Cynical or not, Israelis spent much of Monday doing just that.
For example, a former diplomat tweeted that the ailing Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez, may just need Netanyahu's help in coming up with a logo to commemorate his repatriation from Cuba.

So...What I am reading is that Obama will enter into the city 5 days before Passover and give a speech on peace all the while Netanyahu calls the visit: Operation Unbreakable Alliance" or, Covenant of Peoples

Will Solana be there?

NBC Declares War on Christians

Does NBC hate Christians?
That’s what I was wondering over the weekend as I watched “Saturday Night Live” blaspheme Jesus Christ in a violent and bloody Quentin Tarantino parody – just three days after Ash Wednesday.
The fake movie trailer for “Djesus Uncrossed” featured the Savior brandishing guns and blowing away Romans in classic Tarantino-style. Blood and gore and profanity spewed across flat screens from coast to coast; at one point Jesus sliced a man’s head in half.
“Critics are calling it a less violent ‘Passion of the Christ,’” the announcer declared. “I never knew how much Jesus used the N-word.”
Offending Christians is apparently what passes for entertainment these days.
A few days before the SNL episode, NBC Sports blogger Rick Chandler wrote a scathing smear against a prominent Christian church in Dallas.
Offending Christians is apparently what passes for entertainment these days.
The First Baptist Church in Dallas had invited Tim Tebow to speak at an upcoming service. Chandler urged the outspoken Christian football player to reconsider.
“Tim Tebow to speak at virulently anti-gay, anti-Semitic Dallas mega-church,” read the headline on Chandler’s hit piece.
Sing Oldham, a spokesman for the Southern Baptist Convention, told me he’s not surprised by NBC’s blistering assault on American Christians.
“It’s open season on those who profess personal faith in Jesus Christ and pattern their lives by biblical morality,” he said. “Evangelical Christians are treated with contempt and targeted for ridicule.”
And at the Peacock Network, the contempt and ridicule are on steroids.
NBC removed the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during a produced video that aired during the U.S. Open.
NBC medical editor Nancy Snyderman infamously denounced the religious part of Christmas during an episode of Today.
“I don’t like the religion part,” said Snyderman. “I think religion is what mucks the whole thing up.”
The “religion” she was referring to is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The network has also produced religion-bashing shows like “The New Normal” and “The Book of Daniel.” That particular show as so offensive it led American Family Radio Chairman Donald Wildmon to declare, “We are tired of NBC’s anti-Christian bigotry.”
I wish I could tell you that this sort of anti-Christian bigotry is an anomaly. Sadly, it is not.
We’ve seen the networks and national news publications denigrate the Christian faith with great flair  -- from the “Good Christian B****es” of ABC to Newsweek’s Christmas essay about the “The Myths of Jesus.”
I find it interesting that the networks always mock and ridicule Christianity – but they give other religions a pass.
Why aren’t the writers at SNL churning out weekly skits about Islam – or the Prophet Mohammed? Where’s the mock movie trailer for “Jihad Undetonated?” Where’s the television show called “Good Muslim B****es?” Or the magazine essay about “The Myths of Mohammed?”
I suspect we all know the answer to why.
I’ve often wondered why the people at 30 Rock hold Christians in such contempt. Maybe they choose to attack Christians because we are easy targets.
Southern Baptist spokesman Oldham said it should come as no surprise that networks like NBC target Christians for ridicule.
“Jesus said, ‘the world will hate you because of my name,’” he said, referring to a passage in the New Testament.
As best as I can tell, the folks over at NBC are either ideological bullies or religious bigots.
Either one is enough for me to change the channel.

The Curse of Superman

Movie producer Lloyd Phillips, who was working on the Warner Bros/Legendary Superman reboot Man Of Steel, died January 28, 2013, of a heart attack at his home in Malibu.

Phillips was 63 and was born in South Africa but grew up in Auckland, NZ. The first New Zealander to win an Oscar, according to NZN, Phillips took home the statuette for his 1980 live-action short “The Dollar Bottom” — about a group of school boys who set up an insurance scheme against being caned by their teachers.

Initial feature work afterward included Nate And Hayes with Tommy Lee Jones, Heart Of The High Country and Ruby Cairo with Andie McDowell, Liam Neesen, and Viggo Mortensen. Phillips’ more recent Hollywood credits included The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds with Brad Pitt, Tom Tykwer’s The International with Clive Owen and Naomi Watts, Martin Campbell’s The Legend Of Zorro with Antonio Banderas, Beyond Borders (also directed by Campbell, starring Owen and Jolie), Vertical Limit (also directed by Campbell), The Edge with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin, and Terry Gilliam’s Twelve Monkeys with Pitt and Bruce Willis.

T he Superman Curse again?
The Superman Curse refers to a superstition that is based on a series of misfortunes that have plagued creative people involved in adaptations of Superman in various media, particularly actors who have played the role of Superman on film and television. The "curse" is frequently associated with George Reeves, who starred in Adventures of Superman on television from 1952 to 1958, and died of a gunshot wound at age 45 under disputed circumstances (officially ruled a suicide); and Christopher Reeve, who played the superhero in four theatrical films from 1978 to 1987, was paralyzed in a 1995 horseback riding accident, and died nine years later at age 52

Make up artist Stuart Freeborn, who was the make up artist for Superman, Superman II, Superman III and Superman IV passed away Feb 5th, 2013..but he was 98.  Pretty sure that it was of natural causes.

I've been seeing quite a bit in the media about Superman

I'm thinking I need to delve into the upcoming movie a little more.
I do like the music.  I am a big fan of Lisa Gerrard.

It is produced my Christopher Nolan, the same who produced the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Anyway, just like the Dark Knight, Superman is popping up in the strangest places.  We'll see if something, if anything unfolds.

Priest performs superhero-themed mass with his holy-water gun [11 pictures]

In the town of Saltillo, Mexico, priest Humberto Alvarez offers an unusual mass on Sunday mornings.
He wears a special robe emblazoned with superheroes and he blesses his congregation with holy water from a Super Soaker. With violence all around them, he hopes these unconventional methods will help young people understand and relate to Jesus as a messenger of justice.
And for those who don’t prefer any updates to their religious practice, Alvarez returns to traditionalism for the day’s remaining masses.

I will say that the new costume and the "S" on Superman's chest in the trailer looks like scales and a dragon.

Mexico asks for a list of gun owners

This should never ever even be a question that another country can ask of us...
