Occupy Wall Street vowed to mark the two-month anniversary of its protests with a "day of action" Thursday, beginning with a march to the heart of the financial district -- the New York Stock Exchange -- that drew hundreds of chanting, sign-waving supporters to lower Manhattan.

By 8 a.m., demonstrators had gathered near Zuccotti Park, their former encampment, chanting "All day, all week, Occupy Wall Street!" as they prepared to march the few blocks to the stock exchange. They vowed to later occupy about 16 subway stations before carrying their protest to Foley Square outside Manhattan's courthouses.

–We have a poster made for the protests, aside from the obvious Communist imagery, that utilizes tanks. Why tanks? Again–”Twenty students were killed when Greek army tanks suppressed the protests…”

We’re supposed to believe that this organization HAD NO IDEA that they were scheduling their highest profile event so far, on the exact date that inspired a Communist terrorist group that hated American capitalism?

They MUST have known. THEY MUST HAVE KNOWN.

So what does that mean for us?

One 17N protester has his answer: “we’re going to burn this shi* to the motherfu**ing ground on the 17th!”

(As a guy who lived through the media’s constant attacks on Glenn Beck because he did a speech on the same day that Martin Luther King did a speech, I just couldn’t resist.)

UPDATE: I admit to starting this post with half tongue-in-cheek as mockery for our treatment by the media for 8.28. But, honestly—I’m convincing myself a little. The official Occupy Wall Street site is literally calling the march the “N17 Mass Direct Action.”

I know their public excuse for the “direct action” is two months of “occupation.” I understand that is what they are saying publicly. But, this is just the leadership of this group honoring a bunch of their heroes with a subtle tip of the cap. FEMA, the FCC, and NOAA’s vision for improving the EAS is incremental, which means testing the readiness and effectiveness of the EAS as it currently exists today is the first step. A more effective and functional EAS requires continual testing to identify necessary improvements so that all levels of the system can better serve our communities and deliver critical information that will save lives and property.

U.S. Military Headed To Uganda … 2 To 6 Billion Barrels Of Oil

After President Barack Obama announced earlier this week that he would be sending American troops into Uganda, WND uncovered billionaire activist George Soros’ ties both to the political pressure behind the decision and to the African nation’s fledgling oil industry.

Soros sits on the executive board of an influential “crisis management organization” that recently recommended the U.S. deploy a special advisory military team to Uganda to help with operations and run an intelligence platform, a recommendation Obama’s action seems to fulfill.

The president emeritus of that organization, the International Crisis Group, is also the principal author of “Responsibility to Protect,” the military doctrine used by Obama to justify the U.S.-led NATO campaign in Libya.

Uganda’s Energy Ministry estimates the country has over 2 billion barrels of oil, with some estimates going as high as 6 billion barrels.

In April 2010 Soros’ International Crisis Group, or ICG, released a report sent to the White House and key lawmakers advising the U.S. military run special operations in Uganda to seek Kony’s capture.

The report states, “To the U.S. government: Deploy a team to the theatre of operations to run an intelligence platform that centralizes all operational information from the Ugandan and other armies, as well as the U.N. and civilian networks, and provides analysis to the Ugandans to better target military operations.”

Since 2008 the U.S. has been providing financial aid in the form of military equipment to Uganda and the other regional countries to fight Kony’s LRA, but Obama’s new deployment escalates the direct U.S. involvement.

Soros sits in the ICG’s executive board along with Samuel Berger, Bill Clinton’s former national security advisor; George J. Mitchell, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader who served as a Mideast envoy to both Obama and President Bush; and Javier Solana, a socialist activist who is NATO’s former secretary-general as well as the former foreign affairs minister of Spain.

Solana’s positions are all linked with the number 666 in official EU documents. The George Soros Connection

According to disclosure documents from 2007-2009, Soros' Open Society gave grants of $3.5 million to a murky San Francisco-based operation known as Tides Center. Tides then gave Adbusters grants totaling $185,000. Was Soros responsible for the grants to Adbusters? That's unclear. Tides provides cover for its donors in the sense that it makes the donations to outfits such as Adbusters and it becomes unclear who may have directed Tides to do so. Reuters tried to link the Adbusters donations to Soros, but was attacked by Slate because, you see, Tides made the donations, not Soros, and who knows, maybe it was another Tides donor that caused the grants to Adbuster. Very murky stuff. Soros apologists, because the grants came from Tides, can attack day after day on the fact that money hasn't come from Soros directly and can argue that there is no proof that the money came from Soros at all. What can be argued is that, if Soros wanted to hide the fact that he was funneling money to Adbusters, then using Tides as a cover is a perfect method of doing so. The Tides funding of Adbusters is a dangling clue. It hints of Soros, but because of the shell game played, you can't tie it down and as Reuters learned, their report is now off the internet, if you try to make the jump, gunslingers are going to come after you charging that you haven't completed the links, when the very use of Tides prevents completion of links. Cute.

But, here's where things get real interesting. Where might Adbusters next take the merry band of muddied occupiers? On the frontpage of the Adbusters site, a "Robin Hood Global March" is being called for on October 29. What is the goal of this march? A Progressive income tax? Free healthcare? More subsidies for the poor? Nope. The occupiers are going to march for, get this, a Tobin Tax, that is, a 1% financial transactions tax. A bunch of occupiers, who have, it appears, gained most of their "wisdom" from the Communist Manifesto and, who likely wouldn't recognize a sophisticated financial transaction from an investment banker hailing a limo, are about to march for a complex financial transaction tax, at the behest of Adbusters. If you are scratching your head at this point, it is understandable, until you realize that a financial transaction tax is a pet project of, get this, George Soros.

Dr. Shlomo Segev made the remarks in a program broadcast Saturday on Israeli television that coincided with the fifth anniversary of the massive stroke that incapacitated the ex-prime minister.

The 82-year-old Sharon is a former war hero who led Israel from 2001 until the 2006 stroke that left him comatose. Severe hemorrhaging caused significant brain damage and he has been in a vegetative state since.

Former Sharon spokesman Raanan Gissin told The AP there has been no change in Sharon's condition.

Sharon was moved home in November, but Gissin said he has since been returned to the long-term care facility outside Tel Aviv for treatment

Forgive my absence. This last past Christmas has been one full of personal tragedy. Within a week,3 people lost someone precious in their lives, as well as one member in my family becoming newly separated in a whirlwind of events.

Solana Confronts Israel over Settlement

26 former top EU officials, including ex EU chief Solana and former German President Richard von Weizsacker, urge world powers to confront Jerusalem over its refusal to obey international law.

A group of 26 senior former European leaders who held power during the past decade are calling for strong measures against Israel in response to its settlement policy and refusal to abide by international law.

In an unusual letter sent Thursday to the leadership of the European Union and the governments of the EU's 27 member states, the signatories, including former heads of state, ministers and heads of European organizations, criticize Israel's policies.

Among those signing the letter are the former European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, former German President Richard von Weizsacker, former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzales, former president of the EU Commission and former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, and former Irish President Mary Robinson.

The group drew up a series of recommendations to the current EU leadership during a meeting in London in mid-November.

The sharply worded document joins a decision by the governments of South American countries, including Brazil and Argentina, to recognize a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. In addition, the European Union Council has decided to support the Palestinian Authority's decision to establish an independent state and put an end to the occupation.

The letter's timing is also related to an announcement by the U.S. administration about the failure of the negotiations with Israel on extending the freeze on settlement construction. The former European leaders note that key American figures had suggested to them that the best way to help U.S. President Barack Obama in his efforts to promote peace was to make policy that contradicts U.S. positions come at a cost to Israel.

The European leaders are backing the Palestinians' efforts to rally international support for the recognition of an independent Palestinian state as an alternative to the negotiations that have reached an impasse. They note that the Palestinians cannot expect to be able to set up an independent state without international political and economic assistance.

As such, they are calling on the European Union to play a more effective and active role vis-a-vis the United States, Israel and others. They also want it made clear that a European Union decision to upgrade relations with Israel and other bilateral agreements will be frozen unless Israel freezes settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

They also propose that the EU announce that it will not accept any unilateral changes to the 1967 border that Israel carried out against international law, and that the Palestinian state would cover an area the same size as the area occupied in 1967. This would also include the establishment of a capital in East Jerusalem.

The leaders recommend that the EU support only minor land swaps on which the two sides agree.

Hologram Preachers Slated to Appear in Churches

Holographic preachers are stirring another technology-gone-too-far debate among Christians.

"Since so many of us in the west are convinced that entertaining pew fodder is critical to advancing 'the gospel' and that only a very few have the necessary gifts to preachertain – this will become the 'perfect' solution," Bill Kinnon, author of A Networked Conspiracy, Social Networks, The Church & the Power of Collective Intelligence, wrote in a recent blog post.

What has Kinnon and many other Christians talking is the holographic technology that music artist Madonna famously used at the Grammy Awards in 2006 and that one company wants to promote in churches.

Tony Morgan, pastor of ministries at West Ridge Church near Atlanta, introduced the technology as a possible church tool on his blog this week. He had visited with the company Clark (formerly Clark ProMedia) at their offices in Alpharetta, Ga., where they demonstrated the 3D tool. As he stood on the stage of the company's new theater, an image of another person was projected next to him. From the audience's perspective, it appears as if the other figure was actually present.

The technology itself isn't new to Morgan but it was the first time he saw it in person.

Houston Clark, whose company has been involved in "high-end video venue type production environments," is looking to get holograms in churches. He met with Ainsley Henn of Musion Systems based in the U.K. – the company responsible for the Gorillaz hologram in the Madonna show.

In an interview with ChurchMediaDesign.tv, Clark said the technology creates an "as if you're there experience" and "begins to extend the realism of virtual teaching venues."

"This just gives you a completely limitless palette for creating environments that don't look as if you're viewing them but look as if you're part of them because it's in three dimensions," he added.

Currently, there are some 3,000 multi-sites in the country. Some churches that have adopted the one church in multiple locations approach have turned their other campuses into video venues. In other words, the pastor preaches at one location and is beamed to screens in other locations.

Video venues stirred debate among pastors, some of whom felt it was making a celebrity out of the preacher.

Bob Hyatt, lead pastor of Evergreen Community and a church planter, argued earlier that video venues focus "entirely too much on the preaching gifts of one person."

Now with holograms slated to replace 2D video images of preachers at multi-sites, the technology is reviving the debate.

"Wow!!! Who needs fellowship anymore? Soon I will be able to sit at home in my pj’s and have my Pastor in my living room. Who needs a Pastor? We can have one hologram preacher for the whole world and then we wouldn’t need to pay for one. What is the church coming to?" one commenter named Schuyler Hedrick wrote in response to Morgan's blog.

Missiologist Ed Stetzer, meanwhile, sees the use of holograms in the church as a "natural evolution" of the technology.

"[P]eople watched their pastor live on a big screen at a megachurch, then they watched their pastor on video from another place, now the video goes from 2D to 3D," he commented to The Christian Post. "It is not a shift of philosophy but of technology. If you are already OK watching via video, this is just a new tool, not a new approach."
Adding his own two cents to the debate he sparked on his own blog, Morgan said he supports churches using technology to reach today's culture.

"Technology is not a sin," he said in an e-mail to The Christian Post. "Technology can be used to sin. Technology can also be redeemed to engage today's culture and present the gospel. As missionaries in today's world, frankly, I think the church needs to embrace technology if we are going to speak the language of today's culture.

"We can run from it. We can yell at it. Or, we can leverage it where it's appropriate to present the gospel and help people take their next steps toward Christ."

Having friends and neighbors who still don't know Christ and his unconditional love, Morgan said he's willing to face criticism for his espousal of new technology.

"If I'm criticized for my passion to present the gospel and help as many people as possible experience a life-changing journey in Christ, I'm willing to face that criticism to live out my conviction," he said.

According to Morgan, pricing on the holographic technology is "coming down quickly to the point that I won’t be surprised if we see this technology implemented in churches within the next 12 months."

"Not unlike other forms of video distribution, advancements in technology are making it easier for ministries to consider this form of communication as an option," he noted

WEU announcement: 10-nation alliance to dissolve
The Western European Union released a declaration Wednesday, stating that its 10-nation military alliance has agreed to dissolve itself. Plans are being made to end the alliance, preferably by the end of June 2011.

What does this mean for those of us who have wondered if these 10 nations could be the 10 kings of Bible prophecy? We have to wait and see.

Remember that the 10 nations have just one reason to exist — to give their power and authority to the beast (Revelation 17:13). Once they’ve serve their purpose, then they will exit the world stage. This seems to be what’s meant by Revelation 17:12, which says that the 10 kings “receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.” One hour, in Scripture, refers to a short period of time. So, the WEU’s intent to dissolve itself doesn’t necessarily disqualify it as being the 10 kings of prophecy.

One statement in the declaration particularly caught my attention:

[W]e remain strongly committed to the principle of mutual defence of article V of the Modified Brussels Treaty.
The WEU has therefore accomplished its historical role.

This statement intrigues me because it says, in effect, that the Western European Union has fulfilled its purpose — it has contributed the principle of mutual defense to the European Union. Now the 10 WEU nations are voluntarily giving up their exclusive alliance and military resources and handing them over to the larger EU alliance.

But this sounds a lot like Revelation 17:13, which states that the one purpose of the 10 kings is to give their power and authority to the beast.

When Angels play their HAARP(s) in Haiti

So after watching the streaming video on my computer, and viewing the same image shown on CNN and other news stations, I started to compare the earthquake of San Francisco in '89, which registered 7.1 and Haiti's that registered 7.0

Look at the photos and tell me what you first notice?

These three photos are from the San Francisco Earthquake. Pay special attention to the foundations. See how the building is damaged from the earth up, as is to be expected.

This is the before and after picture.

What I find most interesting is how the damage is to the top of the buildings, rather than the bottom.

Did you know that the neighboring towns, didn't feel a thing? That's right. They may have felt a tremor, but that's just crazy! I remember feeling the S.F. earthquake and I was 70 miles away!

How about the lack of tsunamis? One would expect something from the ocean.

Where is all the aid going? Haiti has still not received what we promised.

It's just very fishey to me.

But in the light of HAARP, it makes perfect sense.

Today I read this article and had me unwinding this ever tangled web that is quickly reaching everyone everywhere...so it seems:

EU to recognize East Jerusalem as capital of Palestinian state

European Union foreign ministers are expected to officially call next week for the division of Jerusalem, to serve as the capitals of both Israel and Palestine. A draft document authored by the current holder of the rotating EU presidency, Sweden, and implying that the EU would recognize a unilateral Palestinian declaration of statehood, has been obtained by Haaretz.

Jerusalem is waging a diplomatic campaign to keep the EU from issuing such an endorsement, but diplomats close to the EU deliberations believe it is virtually inevitable.

EU foreign ministers are scheduled to meet on December 7 for a two-day meeting in Brussels on the peace process, after which a statement outlining the body's Mideast policy is expected.

The Swedish draft represents the first official EU articulation of a solution for one of the core issues of the final-status arrangement between Israel and the Palestinians.

On the issue of borders, the document states that the EU will not accept any changes made by Israel to the 1967 borders unless they have PA approval. It is when our world view becomes affected by the stories and the lives of our clients.

Today we had to sit and think of when we were affected, either positively, or negatively about our reactions to the children at the group home.

When I first started working. I was very calm on the job. I didn't react, or so I thought, to the children's acting out violently or sexually. I didn't flinch to their crude humor or deviant acts. I would just shake my head, change the subject and re-direct them to another place.

Then I went home.

I found my Sundays to be of great relief when I was in church. I would "give it to God" and get over it. It wasn't until I made Sunday dinner that suddenly the world became "too loud" the kid's arguing became "too much" I found myself reacting harshly...

Then night would fall, and my husband and I would retire for intimate time alone. I found that my skin would crawl at his touch, and I could barely lie still as he tried to get close.

Instead, I saw images of the kid's from work, perverted acts they had committed during the week. I re-lived their stories of horror at the hands of a "loved one"

I could no longer enjoy sex or being held.

It was a full two months before I realized that this was a problem. I at first, figured it was jsut stress from my job. Later I realized it was something more.

I gave it up to God.

I don't mean to say this in some kind of classic cliche way. No I poured my heart out and gave it over, because my husband and I started questioning, just how long we were going to last in this stale-mate.

This is where hope is given, that other's without Christ don't experience very often.

I found myself looking at the situation, and the kids. I saw WHY I was being affect so.

Past family trauma, religious belief all affected my view...

So I prayed to be as Jesus.

I was not prepared for what I felt.

There is a reason why it is said to weep with those who weep. There is a reason for why we go through so horrific things.

I looked at my boys in the group home. I had grown to love just about all...

Yet he was going to be a molestor when he grew up
He was going to be a thief and a liar without intervention
And my partner, my favorite staff, was cheater, that didn't apologize for his behavior.

Each person was a symbol of those I couldn't forgive from my past, and yet...in this setting as a child I loved.

I found myself weeping for their plight.
I found myself forgiving.

Forgivness was the result of my Vicarious Traumatization.

Each day that I work, the more I feel free as I forgive more and more.
I find myself overcoming obsticles, (though I am still far from perfect) that I used to numb pain.

I find myself looking at people in a whole different light.

Forgive me if I compare...But I am beginning to see them as Jesus does. As children.

Today, I am much more confident, prepared tp deal with the spitting, the calling of names, the sexually violent behavior. I see beyond the shell of the child and the pain within, and I pray to somehow reach where others fail to dwell...

We fight a spiritual battle.

Let us remember that we do not fight against flesh. Try and not hate our enemies lest Satan come and tempt us into sin.

We are to love as Christ loved.

Does this mean we condone sin? No...

But we are to truly love the sinner.

One vote. That was the margin Wednesday by which the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America churchwide assembly approved a social statement that, among other things, acknowledges the validity of same-sex relationships that are "chaste, monogamous and lifelong."
The margin was so close that Bishop Mark Hanson, the ELCA leader who presided over the vote, hesitated before announcing the outcome. Rules required the social statement to pass by a two-thirds vote; the final result was 66.67 percent.

"I thought it was going to be close, but I doubted very much that it would come out at exactly two-thirds," said the Rev. Peter Strommen, chairman of the task force that drew up the social statement and pastor of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake.

Close as it was, the vote bodes well for a proposal to repeal a ban on gay and lesbian ministers from leading churches unless they promise to be celibate. That motion, which is to come up for a vote Friday afternoon, requires only a simple majority to pass.

The National Weather Service received reports of a possible tornado near downtown Minneapolis, where winds tore off part of a 90-year-old metal church steeple. Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois were also hit, though the only confirmed tornado as of Wednesday night was in Hastings, about 30 miles southeast of Minneapolis, where a 100-yard-long swath of trees was flattened.
Jack Freitag said he was standing in the lobby of the Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis when he saw "a wall cloud from the south coming across the parking lot." Then a "very loud roar" came through as he saw signs being blown around in the wind.

The wind tore off part of the church's 90-year-old metal steeple around 2 p.m. while about 120 people were inside, said church spokesman Joe Bjordal.

"I was worried about the people then," said Freitag, who told everyone to seek shelter in the church's basement. No one was injured.

Outside the church, strong winds ripped apart large outdoor tents and scattered chairs and folding tables across the parking lot that were set up for the national Evangelical Lutheran Church in America convention. So much has already happened ths year, and in record breaking pace; right now it feels as though we are in a lull, I suppose. I find myself searching the horizon in anticipation.

I generally read the news every night. Each time I find it harder and harder to look away, harder and harder to feel happy...harder and harder not to imagine the grief that our Heavenly Father must feel.

There are two things that I can do. Either I turn away and swallow my pain, like a bitter pill until at last it deadens all feeling....or I feel each tear as it sears my cheeks.

I must be as Jesus...and therefore I feel.

I suppose that's Jesus had to take time for himself. To shut His eyes and focus on something beautiful. This is why we have our secret prayer rooms. This is why He calls us to fellowship with Him. We need to look upon something beautiful.

How we should live during these times

It is easy for us as Christians, to get into the habit of calling out everyone's faults. We are so used to speaking out against what is wrong, we forget we are to love those who have wronged us.

In this day and age, there is much speculation flying about the rapture, end times and other doctrine. Instead of edifying it tears apart the church. A divided church cannot stand, and that is just what the enemy would have us be.

Titus 2
1But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

A Little Freaked Out

It's funny, now that I've been working here for awhile, I can definitely tell the difference between possession and mental illness.

What's weird is how when looking back at the details, I am more freaked out about it, than while I experienced it.

One day after walking one of my clients back from another house, I noticed a family sitting on the lawn. There were "praying" and yelling their hymns while rocking back and forth. One of the boys that were watching asked

"What in the hell are they doing??" (group home boy talk, remember)

"They are worshiping." A fellow staff answered. I said nothing, but thought to myself...

"Nope, that's voodoo." Like most of us busy christians, I put that away and filed it until tonight.

Last Wed, I was called to work at the girl's house. I had no problems. In fact I went on a walk with one, and played soccer with another. That just so happened to be the girl who was "worshiping with her family".

All was fine, until we retired into the house where staff was watching a television program called "Ghost Hunters" I don't watch that sort of trash, but because the house was, I did too.

I noticed the girl watching me and my reactions to things. She was talking slow, and the staff began questioning why she was acting like that. I figured she was slurring and acting goofy because of her meds, they said that she was showing out for me.

"Okay, nothing new."

Meanwhile, I had been dealing with some personal issues all day, so I was in constant prayer anyways. SO while watching the program, I was having my own private conversation with God.

Once again I noticed the girl staring at me with a little grin on her face. I figured she was just trying to make me jumpy...I smiled in return and turned my attention to the television. I then announced why exactly I would never do that sort of work (ghost hunting), and that I DID believe in such things only not as ghost, but demons.

She really grinned then and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Possessed" was what my inner spirit replied.

I looked at her steadily for a moment...message received, and I went back to my own prayers and watched as she finally went to bed after many staff prompts.

I did thank her for her being so good when we played soccer...

Anyway, so tonight one other female staff had to work that house and she came back after telling me how the house was just crazy. She had gotten into two containments. One was with the girl.

"You are right, that girl is possessed." I had forgotten that I had mentioned it to her. She started telling me all about how the "look" she would give before attacking someone. Just out of the blue...and to kill. (she's been hospitalized several times this last past month for such things. In fact, she has tried to poison her mother several times.

I described the look, the same as she gave me..

"Oh okay, so you know."

Yeah...but what's even more, I know that she did not try and attack me. What I wish I did know, was if it was because she saw (or it) saw Jesus...were there angels in the room?

It is just one more reminder that we truly do not fight against flesh. Looking back I can see a pattern. The weeks where I have spent extra days in prayer, the days that I run to God even as I block a child from doing destruction, are the same days that I am battling spiritual forces that I cannot see.

Those are the same days that I come home so drained that I cannot move. I never really payed much attention. Only know that I look back I see how I went straight to bed, exhausted. How I was compelled to read my Bible before I closed my eyes in sleep. How I prayed throughout the day, and night, even in my sleep.

I was in a constant battle.

When we are doing the Lord's will, you that the enemy strikes. I ask for prayer that God keeps me close, and "ready" in and out of season.

I pray that I do not grow weary.
I pray that I do not get too comfortable and start to conform to many of the habits that others in my work place have...namely gossip.

I want to be a light, and I know that means I am a target.

I pray for strength.

Someone commented that they were surprised that kids didn't cuss me out like they do most staff. They said I had a calming effect. I was happy to hear that, but gave God the glory. It also made me a bit afraid, I don't want to get big-headed. I know that kids listen to me somewhat, but not because they are scared. I have broken up many fights.

You know that verse where it talks about the spirit knows what to pray even when we don't?

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will" (Rom. 8:26, 27).

I was very weak, that whole week, and the spirit had me praying for exactly what I needed.

Only now that I recognize it, I am skittish. Heck, I am feeling a bit jumpy even. I mean, today we had problems...constantly, but I feel fine. No tiredness at all.

It's is awesome and scary at the same time. It's good to know that not only does my partner have my back...But GOD ultimately has my LIFE!

I read so many web articles, in nothing else to search for clues in where we stand before God as a country. It has always sickened me to read of the horrors and abuse that our young are subjected to. It is also, one of the main reasons I work in the field that I do. I feel as though I can somehow ease the pain, one child at a time...that others chose to heap upon their innocent bodies and minds. It's not easy, it's never easy to love a child that has been hurt so severely, that they then become the abuser.

I'm sure you have read the headlines, read on Yahoo News, about the women in Texas that decapitated her three-week baby.

I am sickened.

Do we christians not remember the Bible stories of old? How often we are told that "that was then, and not now...it is irrelevant."

Yet we see our country, doing exactly what the heathens did, nay, and also Israel did before God severely judged them!

What does one expect? We have taken life, and made it worthless. We have taught our children that humans are animals, ( yet we want them to believe they are also gods) evolved from animals...we are no more than a featherless chicken!

On a personal note

As some of you know, I work in a level 14 group home. I work with a partner, as a councelor for 6 boys that are violent and mentally ill. I feel this is totally where God wants me, and excited every day to go to work..even with the threat of violence.

I have some prayer request. I know that I am probably one of two christians on site, let alone in my house (there are 7 houses in all).

1) That my partner would come to know the Lord.

He is a great man, who has one major flaw, other than not truly knowing Jesus. He believes it's okay to cheat.

When I first started the job, he grilled me for two weeks about my relationships, my religion and whatnot. We have grown really close, but in a non-sexual way. He gave me the hugest compliment when he told me that I reminded him of his best friend, who is also completely faithful to his wife.

I am praying that my example in my marriage and work life, that he will see Jesus through me.

My next prayer is for the kids...that I can be an example. However, I really have one kid in mind.

He has my heart, and he is one that most staff hate. He goes home to mom and dad, and gets arrested.

I love him to death, and that can only be because of God.

Now a few months back he claimed that he didn't believe in God.
"God doesn't speak to us...or what, does He just come out of the air and say ------ I'm here! Does He write you a letter?"

I gave him my experince of why I know He's real.

He went home the next day and was arrested. When he came back I noticed he had been given a Bible.

"You see, God had to quarentine you to talk to you....Here is His word in print, His letter to you , so to speak."

Later he told me that he used to read his Bible all the time.

"I once had a dream about 7 trumpets that angels were blowing (he was 11 or 12 at the time) I woke up screaming that it was the end of the word."

I talked to him some more and shared some dreams that I had, and believed that God had spoken to me in.

I personally believe it's his meds, that are screwing him up. So does my partner. My prayer is that God reaches down and does a miracle. If the company I work for sees him graduate, we should get a medal...one that I will promptly dedicate to God Almighty....

It will not be because of me, other than Jesus used me to speak out loud.

Last, but certainly not least...

I have been in one containment since starting this job,(a containment is where we "prone" a kid on the floor when out of control and in immediate danger to self or others) and only because I've jumped in. I have not been hurt, or had anyone try to hurt me. This is rare.

Remember Obama's speech several months back?

Here is a quote:

My radar went up of course as I read between the lines and saw his obvious inference of deity. So I waited and continued to watch world events unfold until July 11th.

I must admit, I was waiting for something big to happen, and I just about missed what happened, quickly and without much fan-fare. That is until two days ago as I was driving to the gym to work out, the puzzle pieces join in my head and I just about turned around and logged back on to the computer.

And by "a very short period of time" I mean to say that maybe we'll see such proposals -- on all fronts mentioned in that list above -- enacted ASAP, and the prophecies thus fulfilled when they give them some teeth within only a matter of days or weeks from now as opposed to months and years.

So, all we need now is the Antichrist, right?

I had copied an article about the 17th of Tammuz and it's importants in Israel last week here:
It is very intersting to me that not only was the Temple destroyed both times on the 9th of AV but in each case worship was disrupted three weeks earlier.
(Tammuz 17, or in this year's case, July 9th)

A full three weeks of our year-the three weeks "between the strictures" of Tammuz 17 and Av 9-are designated as a time of mourning over the destruction of the Holy Temple and the resultant galut-physical exile and spiritual displacement-in which we still find ourselves.

On Tammuz 17 of the year 3829 from creation (69 CE), the walls of Jerusalem were breached by the armies of Rome; three weeks later, on the 9th of Av, the Holy Temple was set aflame. Av 9 is also the date of the First Temple's destruction by the Babylonians in 3339 (423 BCE), after the Temple service was disrupted on Tammuz 17 (the breaching of Jerusalem's walls at the time of the first destruction was on Tammuz 9). These dates had already been the scene of tragic events in the very first generation of our nationhood: Tammuz 17 was the day Moses smashed the Tablets of the Covenant upon beholding Israel's worship of the Golden Calf; Av 9 was the day that G-d decreed that the generation of the Exodus shall die out in the desert, after they refused to proceed to the Holy Land in wake of the Spies' demoralizing report. In these events lay the seeds of a breakdown in the relationship between G-d and Israel-a breakdown which reached its nadir in the destruction of the Temple.

Now if Tammuz 17 is a date of terrible precedent for Israel, note it starts on our 9 July. Then what does that have to do with the 10th? Hebrew scholars correct me, but doesn't the Jewish calendar day go from dusk to dusk? So 17 Tammuz will not end until dusk on our 10th of July, and BHO asked to meet with the Pope in the evening, just as Tammuz 17 ends. We have already seen that BHO surrounds himself with symbolism and signs. What may they be planning for Israel? What does the Solana announcement have to to with it, if anything?

Today I found an article about Javier Solana announcing that the U.N. should force the Palestinian state into being.
It's not on the actual date (July 9 until the evening of July 10), in fact it's one day late, but I don't know if they mean it happened in Brussels on their Saturday, which would make the announcement being said on the 17th of Tammuz...in any case, in keeping with Israel's theme of mourning...here is the announcement:

BRUSSELS, July 12 (Reuters) -- The European Union's foreign policy chief called for the U.N. Security Council to recognise a Palestinian state by a certain deadline even if Israelis and Palestinians have not reached agreement among themselves.

The EU's Javier Solana made his comments on Saturday at a lecture in London while Palestinian and Israeli peace talks remain stalled.

The Palestinians have said they will not revive peace talks unless there is a halt to Israel's settlement activities in the West Bank.

"After a fixed deadline, a U.N. Security Council resolution should proclaim the adoption of the two-state solution," Solana said, adding this should include border parameters, refugees, control over the city of Jerusalem and security arrangements.

"It would accept the Palestinian state as a full member of the U.N., and set a calendar for implementation. It would mandate the resolution of other remaining territorial disputes and legitimise the end of claims," Solana went on.

Advocating a return to Israel's borders before the 1967 war with Egypt, Syria and Jordan in which it took the West Bank, Solana said mediators should set a timetable for a peace agreement.

"If the parties are not able to stick to it (the timetable), then a solution backed by the international community should be put on the table," he said

So now my attention turns to the 9th of Av. If Solana has just fulfilled this, we should see something even greater in August. Oh and on a side note:

Av 9, 2005 AD - Starting at midnight on August 14, 2005, the entry and presence of Israeli citizens in the areas to be evacuated was prohibited under paragraph 22A of the Implementation of the Disengagement Plan Law 2005. Disengagement from the Gaza Strip was completed on August 22, and from northern Samaria on August 23, 2005. Related news articles here.

Javier Solana Retiring in October

Madrid - Top EU diplomat Javier Solana on Sunday announced plans to retire this autumn, in an interview with Spanish newspaper ABC. "I think my time has come," said Solana, 66, who has held the position for ten years. He said a decade was "more than enough."

Solana's term in office as the European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy is set to expire in October. Asked if he could be talked into staying, he said "there would be no point in trying."

He said he can look back on his time in office with pride, noting that Europe had "established itself" during this phase.

His most troubling times came when he tried to negotiate in war-torn areas, particularly in the Middle East.

The Spaniard said he would remain engaged in European issues and did not rule out getting back into Spanish politics. Solana has served as both Spain's Culture and Foreign Minister in the past, along with a stint as secretary general of NATO.

Here is my take on this....either he will retire in Oct. and his position will be given over to someone that will fulfill the qualification of the A.C. or he'll somehow become even more powerful than he is today and be the One.

I can't help but think of Sarah Palin and her resignation. She resigns, but will move on to bigger things, such as a presidency campaign!

He didn't end up retiring three years ago, but instead received more power....

Remember however, Recommendation 666 just provided the office, it was not about the person who filled the position, however, it was Solana who first filled the seat.

As more shootings at houses of worship make headlines, churches around the country are stepping up security, training their staff on how to detect and confront violent assailants, and asking congregants with licenses to carry guns during services.

That's what brought 15 Southern California church leaders to Garden Grove last week to attend an "Interfaith Intruder Response" course.

"I think that we're living in a violent time and we have a duty to ensure the safety of our flock," said Fred Rodriguez, a senior pastor at Elsinore First Assembly in Lake Elsinore.

Rodriguez said he came to the seminar because he worries that church violence will get worse. "The Scripture says we're living the last days," the clergyman said. "A person doesn't have to look too far to see evidence."

"There are practical things we can do," he added, "and we let God take care of the rest."

Oh really...does God really need our help?

"You guys know the world's not getting better," said Baker, who, along with many church security consultants, is a churchgoer and has a background in law enforcement. "We've got to protect ourselves. . . . The trick of it and the art of it is protecting the congregation and ministry without compromising their sense of worship and refuge and sanctuary."

Traditional security measures, like metal detectors or pat-downs, might compromise that sense of sanctuary, Baker said. So he proposed other, subtler methods. He suggested that churches organize undercover security teams -- and recommended that some members come armed with concealed weapons.

If violence breaks out at church, it could take minutes for even the fastest police and rescue crews to respond, Baker said, "and there's a whole lot of bad that can happen in two to three minutes."

Baker, like other security consultants, said churchgoers need to fight back instead of hiding if they're being attacked, as many students have been coached to do in the event of a school shooting. "If I'm going to get beat, I'm going to get beat doing something," Baker said. "I'm not going to get beat doing nothing."

It's strange, if we were in any other country, we would gladly lay down our life for our Lord. Here in America, we speak of fighting back. Remember what Jesus said to Peter?

"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." (Matthew 16:23; also in Mark 8:33)

When we look to save what is man's only man is glorified...and then only for a moment. Jesus was an example to us in how we should be when facing tribulation. Our sacrifice will save countless others. Read any testomony or accounts of revival in anotehr country and you will find that with persecution (bad as it may be) comes repentance and salvation.

I am scared, and yet not when I think about what time we are living in. I am ready and then again, am not.

I just want to know that I am on the right side to be honest.

In the Twin Towers of New-York, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists and atheists, all lost their lives as one.

Cultivating interfaith ties of understanding and friendship is vital, not only in interfaith relations, but in the religions' perception of God.

The first question is always whether God created man in His image, or whether man is trying to create God in his compromised image. Whether we should adopt God's moral code, or whether we should refer our personal desires to God.

The real concept of monotheism is that God created all human beings in His image, that we were all born equal, and that none of us has the right to appoint himself as a superior force. Only God who created man has the right to determine life. The one that can not give life should not end life. God had no partners in the creation of the world, so there is nobody that can declare war against.

Bolshevism advocated Baz Buzinkiut - an ideology without God. They believed it would be possible to attain social justice without the moral values of God. Bolshevism failed to achieve justice, it failed to discard God. For humanity, it would be difficult to live without a God of justice and without a God of peace.

Our sixth commandment expresses the major point of humanities struggle in the 21st century: "Do not kill." And it is said in the Holy book Leviticus: "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord. This leitmotiv of our religion is that "All human beings were created in the image of God."

We must stand up and reject fanatics, and to oppose promoters of hatred and conflicts. Their so-called god is not our God. Their faith is not our faith. Our answer to them is to hold and encourage peace initiatives.

We are aware of the big change which has occurred in the positions of a majority of Arab countries towards peace with israel: a transition from the three Khartoum "no's": no to negotiations, no to recognition, no to peace - to the three "yes's" of the Saudi Initiative.The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II, defined this a readiness for peace between the State of Israel and 57 Arab and Muslim states.

Here, from this platform, with your permission, Mr. President, I call upon the King of Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, the initiator of the Arab peace plan, to meet in Jerusalem or in Riyadh or to travel to Kazakhstan, and together with other Arab leaders we will all be able to realize your vision, our vision and the vision of all believers in our shared God of peace and justice.

Together with the participants of this prestigious conference, we must stretch our hands one to the other, in a spirit of mutual commitment and a prayer for peace and prosperity in the world; for the brotherhood of man, for his freedom, health and well-being; for social justice, and progress, while respecting our separate and unique heritage and differences.

Exclusive: senior official leaves Brown to work for Blair

The Prime Minister's Appointments Secretary is to leave Downing Street tomorrow in order to become Director of Policy for the new Faith Foundation being set up by Tony Blair, political and religious sources have told The Independent tonight. William Chapman, who has helped draw up lists for appointing Bishops and other figures to the House of Lords for eight and a half years, is the latest senior figure to become part of an “exodus” of officials leaving Number 10 under Brown. A downcast Downing Street was not set to announce this departure until tomorrow or next week.

Church of England sources say that Chapman today sent an “operational note” to Bishops and Deans with whom he works, announcing that he would be leaving his job “as from tomorrow”.

Meanwhile political sources confirm that Chapman will become Policy Director at the Tony Blair Faith Foundation which will be run by Blair’s former aide Ruth Turner, who was caught up in the cash for questions saga.

This resignation follows that of Spencer Livermore, the director of political strategy at Number 10 who has worked with Brown for 10 years, and now is jumping ship to join the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and Fallon (SSF). It also comes after the departure of Tom Scholar, the Downing Street chief of staff, who has left to return to the Treasury. Those moves followed the arrival of Stephen Carter, the former head of Ofcom, who became head of strategy at Number 10 in January.

Chapman’s departure is, I'm told, “unrelated” to the arrival of Carter, who is said to have “ruffled feathers” since his arrival at Number 10; and in his note yesterday, Chapman emphasised that he will continue to advise the Prime Minister on ecclesiastical affairs.

Nonetheless, the fact that such an experienced civil servant is leaving to work for Brown’s predecessor will be seen as a blow to the Prime Minister – and a considerable coup for Blair.

Chapman has been a civil servant since 1976, serving as private secretary to several ministers and speech writers to Cabinet Ministers before becoming Private Secretary at the Home Office and then eventually to the Prime Minister between 1991 to 1994. He has served as Appointments Secretary to Number 10, and Ecclesiastical Secretary to the Lord Chancellor since 1999, two years after Blair took office.

The former prime minister, who is the international envoy to the Middle East, is in the process of setting up his Faith Foundation to be launched later this year. As part of his time on this he will teach a series of seminars at Yale on "faith and globalisation". The foundation will work with Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. For that, Chapman is likely to be an asset, and a loss to Downing Street, which has so far kept ominously quiet about the move.

Using Prophesy

My husband once asked if everyone knew bascially what it said in the Bible as far as end-time prophecy is concerned. Why wouldn't they try to hide it or do something different.

I gave him a very shallow answer of "Well God knows what's going to happen...perhaps they just do!"

"What about free-will...are you saying that they don't have a choice in doing this?"

I had no answer for that...until now. This is taken from a speech Javier Solana gave:

"Rather than attempt to create a new vision, therefore, the task which presses most urgently upon us at the present time would seem to be to investigate those ancient prophecies which seem to swamp our world of modern vision, to research their origins and implications, to observe their extraordinary effects throughout history and above all to watch the successive efforts of those concerned to control and cope with the forces thus unleashed...we may finally find ourselves in a position not merely to anticipate the likely flow of future events …but actually to exercise a conscious control over those events by co-operating with, rather than opposing, the prophecies...Only then, perhaps, having, as it were, exorcised the former visions, shall we be in a position to create new visions of our own, and thus go on to create a 'new heaven and a new earth' of our own devising."

It is not surprising to see that two United Nation’s organizations—the Alliance of Civilizations and Religions for Peace—have combined efforts to promote the concept of Shared Security"

Basically what he's saying is that they were going to use "ancient prophesies in order to further their movement in establishing the New World Order.

I am dumb-founded and amazed at how God answered that question. They..by their own free will, will fulfill what was written so many years ago. My question/statement for them would be this...

Churches to Celebrate Evolution Weekend

At least 11,000 clergy will be celebrating “Evolution Weekend” February 8-10 in churches across the country. I have to wonder what an evolution-celebrating worship service would look like. Do they venerate icons of Charles Darwin? Do they have an atheist version of the Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father, Random Chance, thank you for acting on matter so I can be here…” Do they sing hymns? What sort of hymns would those be? “All We Are is Dust in the Wind”? “I Sing the Mighty Power of Chance”? “Darwin, Priceless Treasure”? “Darwin, Joy of Man’s Desiring?”, “Blessed Assurance, Darwin is Mine?” or maybe for a closing song, “Softly and Tenderly, Darwin is Calling”? I can only imagine the sermon in a church like this. “Creationists in the Hands of an Angry Mob” sounds like a likely title. They could use a text from Origin of Species, perhaps. Instead of Sunday School papers featuring the Lord Jesus, they will no doubt be handing out replicas of the evolution chart or doing flannel graph presentations showing the evolutionary progression from ape to liberal pastor.

It really isn’t funny, but even Elijah saw the humor of the Ba’al worshippers dancing around an idol, cutting themselves and calling on their false god for help. These pastors are at war with God and His Word, and they have become vain in their thinking because their foolish hearts are darkened. Professing themselves wise, they have become, in a word, absurd.

I was dreaming, but not really, I saw Egypt and the Great Pyramid of Giza. ( I have no idea why) The verse repeated itself over and over and I wondered why. Looking at the Pyramid I thought at first maybe there was a door...
Now I'm wondering if it isn't something else. Either way, I woke up at 6:00 a.m. to go and look the verse up.

This is going into my journal, as it is one of those dreams that is causing my spirit to stir.

Hmmm. So I thought, what would a good closet sysadmin do about this one? Well I scanned the box of the originating IP after following the URL yielded a 401 error. Nice set of FOSS tools on that machine.. I digress. Initially, I thought it was some sort of bot trying to be naughty. After further review and a bit of ubiquitous Googling, I discovered that a companies like Converseon and others are hired on a case to case basis to monitor blogs and other digital media. I suppose the effort is to help companies manage their digital reputation. I guess the Cluetrain Manifesto was correct. Markets are indeed conversations. Apparently the company which I showcased hired 'jdoak' to _monitor_ the conversation in this space.

So, I believe 'Jack' or Jake is playing the role of the embedded reporter ;)

It's been a Year

What a crazy year it's been. I know that I haven't updated much. I've been so busy with work, child-rearing and being a wife, that well...life simply was too fast, too much, and too beautiful to put into words.

Last year we celebrated my daughter's 1st birthday, found out I was pregnant again and found ourselves suddenly up a creek without a paddle. Literally.

Our dream house ended up being a nightmare, one thing lead into another and every penny that I had inherited or that we had saved the year before was gone...we were now quickly going into debt.

My husband, oh my dearest husband, in hopes of turning the tide, went to St. Louis in search of a job. That was the last time he ever made a decision without first talking with me..as it cost us what little security we had. In return I learned how to love and pray and trust my husband...NO MATTER WHAT.

I felt a strong pull from God, and I began to respond...little by little, walls I had built around my heart began to crumble. Some I vainly tried to hold onto..for as each brick came toppling over, I felt like I was betraying myself.
I had to hold on to this pain, so I would never be in such a situation again.

As many hear in A.A....I let go and Let God. Funny, I used to roll my eyes at times, now I understand what that means.

It was hard when I was given my first practice test, the time my social security was stolen from me. I feel like I did what was right. I did not try and seek revenge, I only sought to protect my name. After all, it was my birthright....right? A new lesson I learned in the midst of that...

Without Him it doesn't matter. I don't matter. That was hard. As I saw that I would not received justice(at least that I could see) I had to apply the Let Go and Let God plan there.

I had a baby. It was an easy and yet painful labor. I felt every moment of Isaiah coming down. With each burning stretch my body overcame pain with love. All of those previous months of wishing that I was NOT pregnant vanished in an instant. This was my promise in flesh. (promise verse Isaiah 54)

Because he wasn't breathing on his own well, they kept us separated until after midnight that night. My heart fell and then died, only to rise and die again, everytime the long hand turned it's hourly corner. Suddenly I was the "new" mother asking herself

"Did I do something wrong?"
"Please forgive me, just help him be okay"

I mean I had always sympathized with other women when they would ask such questions...but now I knew, truly knew.

With the birth of our son, our money was gone...we lived on credit. Our redemption came from an unwanted source...the desert. Phoenix to be exact. The physical hell that I swore I'd never moved to.

Fights and fighting during the move. I told Brandon to go back home. He said No, but didn't really want to be there either. That lasted the first two weeks of our move. Then without warning...

Love came back.

Not that it was gone mind you, it was only hidden beneath our self pity and doubts. I can now see that our bond is even stronger, for our ship has sailed through horrendous waters. We have been tossed to and fro. Many stood and pointed, watching and calculating the date of our demise.

We still are

I look at him and smile...God, how I love his blue eyes. And yes, he still reaches over and pats my bottom. We laugh as the kids bury their heads in our circle of hugs...
Our fights with the older kids are passionate, just as our apologize are. I do yell loud...but I am quick to say I'm sorry....first.

My cupboards are filled, with more than just beans. Not to say beans are not delicious. I can make a mean mexican dinner. Or ham and beans...take your pick.

My bed is cramped with legs and arms...butts that press against my back and stomach. There is little room for movement let alone any thing else. Ask me how much I miss one of them when they are gone.

We all pray at dinner, Hannah holding hands and joining in.

God is real, and is felt, something that I hope and pray becomes stronger every day.

We are working and that's good. I bought the kids new clothes for the first time since Aug.
I just paid off three of our past bills and all I can say is
YES!!!!

I know I work 12 hours days, 4 days a week..and at times that's rough. He works the other 3 days, 12 hours a day, and it stinks.

bah..but who is complaining. Arizona is just fine. I am happy here. Of course I haven't felt it's summer.
Still what's the difference? I can stick my head in a hot water bath or an oven...

It's still bloody hot. Only my hair will know the difference.

Today at work a man and I "argued" why I would need the companies donation money more than he.
I won after saying I had 4 children...two babies and two teens.

"And the worse thing is...You'll survive!" he said laughing as he walked away...I laughed too, only to groan in the next second.

Yep we are surviving...quite well I might add.

Sore Displeased

Last week I was praying and reading my Bible when it came to me to read Zechariah. I was originally reading about the end, where Jesus fights against those who posess the earth, however my eyes kept reading the first chapter instead

7Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

8I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

9Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

10And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

11And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

12Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

13And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

21Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Please keep those verses in mind. I was reading today a passage written from a hebrew(now christian) pastor about Bush's trip to Israel on the 8-9 of January 2007

President Bush has come to Israel on a very significant date to divide the land!

If you look at the Hebrew Calendar Tuesday - Wednesday, Jan 8-9, 2008, sunset to sunset, was a New Moon, which is very significant on the biblical calendar. It was the date of Shevat 1. The first day of the 11th month. The New Moon is always sanctified or set apart. But look at the biblical significance of it not only being just the first of any particular month, but what happened on this very day, the first day of the 11th month, 3400 yrs ago:

Deuteronomy 1:3,8 And it happened, in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month, Moses spoke to the sons of Israel according to all that God had commanded him concerning them; Behold, I have set before you the land; go in and possess the land which the LORD has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their seed after them.

It just so happens, this is not only just the first day of the eleventh month, but it is also in the fortieth year since Jerusalem recaptured in 1967!!

Well now, I had to and confirm what exactly he was speaking about...one does not take everything at face value.

1967 was the year of Israel's Six-Day War. Okay...so now I'm interested.
There was a verse underneath that and my heart started racing as once again, I saw prophecy about to be fufilled once more...

it said to read Zechariah 1-21 because that was Jan 31,2008 or the 24th day of Shevat

Suddenly it all made sense. If you could look at my browser's history, you could see that I had looked up several times what three score ten meant. Well I found out it meant 40 years.

12Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

It's been 40 years since the Syrian war.

I am begining to believe that Zechariah is speakng of the same event. Take note of the "red horse" How many times have we read that lately?

However I want you to look at one more piece...one that is just one more piece of damning evidence that America will be judged severely for the division of Israel.

He was displeased with us before, but now! He is VERY displeased. If that does not cause one to shudder, than they are foolish indeed.

I had wanted to do a study on the four horns to see just who they might be. Any other time they mentioned 4 horns it was the arab countries surrounding Israel.

I will keep you posted on my studies.

Oh and by the way the next Lunar eclipse that is to occur will be on Feb. 28th. It will be a blood red eclipse. If you recall my posts on that, you will remember that every time there is a blood red moon, it means trouble.

The Jewish Talmud (book of tradition/interpretation) says, "When the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel. If its face is as red as blood, [it is a sign that] the sword is coming to the world."

Total-eclipse “blood-red” moons have been rare in history, however since I've been watching I've noted since 1996 they have occured during "peace talks", and after each one war broke out on that day or soon after.

It makes me wonder if the war with Syria will begin soon after the 28th. (my opinion, not biblical)

Ethiopian Jewish Sigd Festival to Become National Holiday

The Ethiopian Jewish holiday of Sigd will soon become a national holiday. Preliminary legislation submitted by MK Uri Ariel (National Union) was approved Wednesday.

The proposal was supported by MKs from National Union, NRP, Shas and Likud, as well as Labor and Meretz.

The ramifications of adopting Sigd as a national holiday would be that the Education Ministry would teach about it in schools and employees would be given the option to take the day off, such as is currently the practice for days like Jerusalem Day and the holiday of Purim. The Prime Minister's Office would also be assigned the responsibility of funding the yearly Sigt festivities in Jerusalem.

Sigd takes place on the 29th of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, exactly fifty days after Yom Kippur. The holiday is pronounced Sigd (one syllable), which means prostration in Amharic and shares its root with the word for temple. The ceremony resembles the one held for the renewal of the Divine covenant by Ezra the Scribe during the Second Commonwealth, described in the Book of Nechemia. "All the people gathered themselves together as one man into the broad place that was before the water gate; and they spoke unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel" (Nehemiah 8:1)

Prior to their immigration to Israel, the Beta Israel (meaning 'House of Israel') or Falasha (meaning 'strangers,' a term used by their non-Jewish neighbors in Africa) community would observe Sigd each year on mountaintops outside their villages. The Kessim, the community's rabbis and ritual leaders, would ascend the mountain, which was meant to represent Mount Sinai.

Upon the Aliyah (immigration to Israel) of Ethiopia's Jews, the holiday has become both a celebration of returning to Zion and a longing for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem [emphasis TI]. Ethiopian Jews gather from all across Israel at the Armon HaNetziv Promenade, overlooking the Temple Mount.

MK Ariel says he submitted the bill to share the beauty of the holiday with all of Israel, as well as to give the Ethiopian Jewish community the recognition it deserves. "The Ethiopian community has preserved customs dating back to the days of the Holy Temple and even Biblical times," the bill states. "The acceptance of this holiday by the Knesset and the State of Israel will allow for the revival of an age-old tradition and the strengthening of the Ethiopian community's identification with and involvement in the Israeli community at large."

The bill will next be voted upon by the Knesset's Labor and Welfare Committee.

Just some background on the holiday:

The Sigd Festival is fetival that is unique to Beta Israel which are Ethiopian Jews. The holiday symbolizes the handing down of the Torah at Mount Sinai. The word itself is Amharic for prostration and the root letters s-g-d are the same as in Mesgid, one of two Ethiopian Jewish terms for synagogue, or Temple: a clear indication of its association with Jerusalem and its centrality in Jewish life and ritual. During the celebration, members of the community fast, recite Psalms, and gather in Jerusalem where Ethiopian Rabbis called Kessim read from the Orit.

Chesvan is the second month on the Jewish Calendar or the ninth month of the ecclesiastical calendar. It is an autumn month of 29 days, except in "complete" years, in which it has 30 days. Cheshvan usually occurs in October–November on the Gregorian calendar.

It is on the 29th day of Chesvan that the Ethopians choose to observe their holiday.

I will be watching to see just what happens if they do deem this as a holiday...there could be much significance in this.

The rain started on the 17th of Cheshvan of the Hebrew year, 1656 (2105 BCE), flooding the enitre earth. Only Noah and his family is said to have survived, in the ark (Noah's Ark) he built (by Divine command), and a pair of each animal species.

17 Cheshvan - (960 BCE) - First Temple completed

King Solomon completed the building of the First Temple (it was not inaugurated until the following Tishrei however)

23 Cheshvan - (137 BCE) - Hasmonean holiday

In Talmudic times, Cheshvan 23 was commemorated as the day on which the stones of the altar which were defiled by the Greeks were removed from the Holy Temple.

27 Cheshvan - (2104 BCE) - Flood ends

On the 27th of Cheshvan of the Hebrew year 1657 (2104 BCE) "the earth dried" (Genesis 8:14), which finished the 365-day duration of the great flood which is said to have wiped out all life on earth except for the eight human beings and the animals (two of each species) that were on Noah's ark. On this day, God is said to have commanded Noah to "Come out of the ark" and repopulate, settle and civilize the earth

As I observed President George W. Bush speaking at Yad Vashem (the Israeli Museum to the 6 million Jews who died during the Holocaust), I found the speech disingenuous, despite Bush’s alleged tearing up. Although Bush intoned a solemn speech, I could not help but see the hypocrisy of this supposedly born-again Methodist. He had just come from a meeting where he swung a vicious axe against the living tree of Judaism and the Jewish nation.
Standing by was his equally devious associate Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, ready to pick up and burn whatever Bush chopped out. Bush and Rice are not the first to try and sever both the roots, trunk and branches of the “Living Tree” planted by G-d in the Holy Land of Eretz Yisrael. As in the past, they swung their axes, burned the branches yet the roots remained deep and alive.
In the end it was not the tree that dies, it was the attacking nations who suffered and disappeared. Granted it took time but, eventually those mighty civilizations rotted away and are only spoken about in history books. History is replete with the ignominious fate of nations who came to conquer the Land of Israel, thinking that they could capture the spiritual power of the G-d of the Jews and add Him to their selected gods, assuring them of a glorious after-life.
It was a travesty to see an American President of German ancestry, visit and speak at Yad Vashem - even as he was forcing the Jewish nation into re-partition. He was literally visiting the remains of European and Russian Jewry, also axed down by his German ancestors. (1)
He should have been pleading for forgiveness before the G-d of the Jews. Instead, he had come from parleys wherein he instructed - no, ordered - the Jews of Israel to give up the ground G-d had given to the Jewish people for eternity, all in defense of a wild, murderous people who gathered and adopted the name “Palestinians”. President Bush has tried to become the godfather and benefactor of “Hamastine”.
Bush is striving to appease the same Arabs who joined Hitler to bring his murder machine to Jerusalem and all of Palestine. These same thoughts and motivation remain with the Muslims Arabs of today, as they arm for Israel destruction. Had the Muslim Arabs under the Grand Mufti Amin Al Husseini, succeeded in bringing Hitler into Palestine, Yad Vashem would not exist in Jerusalem. But, if it did, there would be a separate section for Palestinian Jews. (All Jews born in Eretz Yisrael (Palestine) before 1948 were Jewish Palestinians.)
Bush is trying to appease the Muslim Arab nations who always hated the Jews but also hated their own Palestinian brethren, as evidenced by their refusal to take them in as citizens.
President Bush said the Land of Israel was “occupied” by the Jews and they must give it back. Bush is lacking or ignoring the history of the Land wherein the Muslim Arabs came in as conquerors time and again to “occupy” the Land of the Jews. Indeed, the Land was at numerous times “occupied” by invading Arab Muslims. They did not value it as Holy - no, not even Jerusalem. The Muslim Koran never mentions Jerusalem one time. You can see the weeds growing in photos of the Temple Mount plaza during the short “occupation” by the Muslims. But, the Land of Israel and Jerusalem was retaken through defensive wars by her rightful owners. The Jews had returned to the Land of our Patriarchs, the Land of our Patrimony, the Land that G-d gave the Jewish people in perpetuity - as our inheritance.
Many conquerors came, not for the stones, water, oil or gold but, for the mystery of a Deity who chose Jerusalem as His place on Earth. The invaders may have conquered the bricks, stones and mortar but they could never come away with the Supernatural Power they sought. They could not make the City come alive as did the Jews. Eventually all left empty-handed - except the Jews who made the Eternal Capital of Jerusalem glow like gold in G-d’s sunlight.
Bush had help in planning where to strike the heaviest blows of his axe. He had PM Olmert and his cohorts who literally hate the Jewishness imbued in the Land on which they walk. To fell the mighty tree of Judaism one needs long-term planning by her enemies - both from insiders and from outsiders.
All those who wanted the Tree of Judaism chopped and dead, worked together diligently and secretly for years. We have now seen Bush swing his axe - with planning and help from Rice, Baker and Olmert, the Saudis, Syria, Iran, ‘et al’. In addition to the blows of the axe, we hear the false words of an enforced peace, crafted to cover up the whack-whack-whack of the chopping while the chips fall to the ground.
I wonder: IF the collaborators succeed in felling the ancient tree of Judaism, will they then dig a great hole to unearth the deep roots from which they all were born? Can their hatred be so intense that the choppers will cut off the branch upon which their own civilizations sit? I think they will try but, I already see these nations crumbling as their money becomes worthless; as nature turns against them in fire, flood, war and pestilence. As Rome, Babylon and Egypt - each in their time became lost civilizations, so too will the great civilizations of our time start to wobble and crash.
It’s all happening now so that even the most dense can see it coming. Swing your axe, Mr. President, but, if you succeed, the tree you will try to chop down may be your own nation.

And this is where I'd encourage those in America to draw close to God...For this is completely true. Stemming back from Babylon, every country that tried to persecute the jews was later completely destroyed. We already have the prophecy concerning America's Judgement and how God will allow certain countries to bomb us...now you can see for sure why. It is not only because we have sinned and followed after the gods that other nations brought here, but more importantly, we have touched the apple of His eye...His beloved Jerusalem.
Listen now as I say again...draw closer to God, for He will save those who seek Him.

A penny for a measure of wheat

Stocks are falling here, as well as in the world. If we are in Daniel's 70th week as it seems, then life is only going to get harder.

Rev 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
Rev 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

There has been a certain sense of panic among some christians that are dilligent paying attention. They speak of stocking up on supplies, they speak of building bunkers. In watching the chaos of the world, they have taken their eyes of of Him that is in charge of the world.

We must be careful not to do as Peter did when Jesus called him to walk the water. Yes, the waves are high...but Jesus arms are not so short that He cannot save.

I am reminded of two scripture verses:

Mark 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Matthew 6:25-34
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Russian Navy Turns Up Heat

UNITED NATIONS -- In yet another instance of the Russian military flexing its muscles, Kremlin sources confirm that a "joint naval exercise" will commence in the North Atlantic starting Jan. 20.

Elaborating on a brief statement carried by Ria Novosti, Russia's defense ministry announced that a naval task force consisting of the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, the Udaloy-Class destroyers Admiral Levchenko and Admiral Chabenenko, the guided-missile cruiser Moskva and several unidentified "support vessels" will convene in the North Atlantic for "exercises" lasting "several days."

Vice Adm. Nikolai Maksimov of the Russian navy's northern fleet will lead the exercises.

The admiral is reported to have stated that the upcoming exercises are a prelude to a "permanent" presence in the region.

The Russian navy will be joined by elements of the Russian air force, namely Bear and Blackjack strategic bombers.

Several "practice exercises" by the Russian air force over the same region since last August, prompted "interceptions" by jets from the Norwegian and British air forces.

In each instance, the Russian bombers returned to international airspace when confronted by the British and Norwegian jets.

The upcoming military exercises are one of the largest maritime operations by Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.

It comes as President Bush prepares his final State of the Union speech.

It also follows a recent confrontation between U.S. and Chinese warships in the Strait of Taiwan and the U.S. and Iranian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

China and Russia

A Vision Received by Brother Dumitru Duduman April 22, 1996

I prayed, then went to bed. I was still awake, when suddenly I heard a trumpet sound. A voice cried out to me, "Stand!"

In my vision, I was in America. I walked out of my home, and began to look for the one who had spoken to me. As I looked, I saw three men dressed alike. Two of the men carried weapons. One of the armed men came to me. "I woke you to show you what is to come." He said. "Come with me."

I didn't know where I was being taken, but when we reached a certain place he said, "stop here!"

A pair of binoculars was handed to me, and I was told to look through them.

"Stand there, don't move, and look," he continued. "You will see what they are saying, and what they are preparing for America."

As I was looking, I saw a great light. A dark cloud appeared over it. I saw the president of Russia, a short, chubby man, who said he was the president of China, and two others. The last two also said where they were from, but I did not understand. However, I gathered they were part of Russian controlled territory. The men stepped out of the cloud.

The Russian president began to speak to the Chinese one. "I will give you the land with all the people, but you must free Taiwan of the Americans. Do not fear, we will attack them from behind."

I saw these words being written: Alaska; Minnesota; Florida.

Then, the man spoke again, "When America goes to war with China, the Russians will strike without warning."

The other two presidents spoke, "We, too, will fight for you." Each had a place already planned as a point of attack.

All of them shook hands and hugged. Then they all signed a contract. One of them said, "We're sure that Korea and Cuba will be on our side, too. Without a doubt, together, we can destroy America."

The president of Russia began to speak insistently, "Why let ourselves be led by the Americans? Why not rule the world ourselves? They have to be kicked out of Europe, too! Then I could do as I please with Europe!"

The man standing beside me asked, "This is what you saw: they act as friends, and say they respect the treaties made together. But everything I've shown you is how it will REALLY happen. You must tell them what is being planned against American. Then, when it comes to pass, the people will remember the words the Lord has spoken."

Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the protector of America. America's sin has reached God. He will allow this destruction, for He can no longer stand such wickedness. God however, still has people that worship Him with a clean heart as they do His work. He has prepared a heavenly army to save these people."

As I looked, a great army, well armed and dressed in white, appeared before me.

"Do you see that?" the man asked. "This army will go to battle to save My chosen ones. Then, the difference between the Godly and the ungodly will be evident."

Coming out of shadows..my year in relection

With all that goes on about us, it is eaiser for one to take refuge in small corners and protective coverings as to not be seen. I find myself as one of them. All my grown life, I have sought the darkness as a comforting blanket of inky blackness to shroud my frailness.

It has been said of me too many times that I am strong.

I am not strong...I only survive...barely

However, I have felt my heart-strings being tugged ever so gently by God. Back in Sept. when He first wooed me from out of my shadows, He placed the book of Daniel upon my heart. It was one coincidence after another...

2007 was a hard year. In January it became apparent to us that after the birth of our last child, we were no longer going to be able to survive on the income we were currently making. Feburary, my husband made a rash decision to look for work in St. Louis and move us there. In my heart, I knew it was a wrong decision, but it had been made without me...the plans were already set in motion. One tragedy after another struck and we never did make the move. Instead our family began to grow apart, our money dwindled away and our house and cars fell apart.

I prayed and prayed for an answer. I never expected to receive the answer I did...Move to Phoenix.
If you could see every poem I've ever posted, and all the stories I've written within the last 4 years, you still would not believe.

My journals and in fact this very one was labeled A woman in the desert...In the Desert I heard a Voice...My promise chapter was about the woman in the desert Is. 54
Every dream that I've had that God has spoken to me, was set in the desert.

To be quite frank..it was the last place I've ever wanted to live

Here I am. Looking back I can see what happened. We (my husband) and I would have never considered living here. Take away our jobs, our house, our church and suddenly the choice didn't look so bad. Now we both have great jobs, and great house and the kids are happy.

I wonder now, why exactly has God led us here? Seeing all these things coming about, seeing the book of Daniel coming about....why are we here?
All my experience in survival, do they now fulfill their purpose?

It is my desire to retreat back into the safety of my hidden world; to shut out the pictures that scroll before my eyes. Only it's the stirring within my heart that keeps me seearching Him. The feeling like I must draw closer to Him as He is drawing to me, is making all else become very small.

Now I face a battle. Does self fight with self...and which will win? For all that seems small now, is the very thing I held on to so dearly to keep my sanity.
Those who haven't been through anything would find the choice quite clear. I wish it were that easy, but it is not.

I hope no...I pray for that which is God's to overcome and win. He must increase, I must decrease. The problem is, I don't know how to go about it. May His grace last long enough to find me where I need to be.

The U.N. and the Taliban

KABUL (Reuters) - A senior United Nations official and another from the European Union left Afghanistan on Thursday after the government ordered their expulsion, accusing them of holding talks with the Taliban and for paying cash to the group.

The expulsions have caused a diplomatic row between the government and key aid agencies who fear the loss of two such experienced Afghan hands could hinder multi-million-dollar reconstruction and development efforts.

United Nations spokesman Aleem Siddique said the U.N. staffer had left on Thursday morning on a regular charter flight to neighboring Pakistan. Diplomats in Kabul confirmed the EU official, the mission's acting head, had been on the same flight.

While neither organization has formerly named the pair, it is common knowledge in the capital that they are Michael Semple and Mervin Patterson, who have lived and worked in Afghanistan for more than a decade, even during the rule of the Taliban that was toppled by the U.S.-led invasion in 2001.

Both are fluent in local languages and considered experts on the customs, rivalries and politics of Afghanistan's various tribal and racial groups.

The Afghan government declared the pair personae non gratae after accusing them of meeting Taliban officials last week in the troubled southern province of Helmand, a bastion of the insurgency and the main drug-producing region of Afghanistan.

EU and U.N. officials insist the pair were meeting only local elders and the whole affair was a "misunderstanding."

"As part of our efforts in Helmand province we need to be speaking to people on the ground," Siddique said.

VERY COMPLEX

"We are dealing with a very complex situation here in Afghanistan. Tribal communities and tribal relationships are a very complex web."

Afghan officials stood by the expulsions on Thursday.

"We are acting on the basis of our national interest. The two sides (EU and the U.N.) have agreed that they should go," one official told Reuters.

The U.N. spokesman said officials from all parties were meeting to see if the row could be resolved, but there were no plans at present to get U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon to appeal directly to Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The governor of Helmand province, Assadullah Wafa, told a news conference on Thursday that Semple and Patterson had met insurgents who were organizing suicide attacks.

"They had met with those Taliban who are leaders of suicide attacks," he said, adding that the pair had told him they had been trying to win over Taliban insurgents to the government.

Aid organizations and analysts say the biggest threat to humanitarian work in the country has been the growing insurgency, fuelled by the region's vast drug trade, and that the only way to stop it is with the cooperation of tribal elders and leaders.

Frequently this involves offering lucrative supply and development opportunities to local leaders in exchange for cooperation on projects. Often the lines are blurred between who is a Taliban member, a Taliban sympathizer or merely hostile to the central government and foreigners.

The disputed meeting took place in Helmand's Musa Qala district, controversially abandoned earlier this year by British troops after they struck a deal with local elders to police themselves.

The Kabul government criticized that agreement after Taliban insurgents swiftly took control of the area until driven out two weeks ago when NATO and Afghan forces retook it.

Helmand is the heart of Afghanistan's drug-producing poppy industry and the EU and U.N. have a key role in the British-led eradication program.

Afghanistan's poppies produce over 90 percent of the world's heroin and the multi-million-dollar illegal industry it supports is said by analysts to be a primary reason for the Taliban's resurgence in the south and east.

The Afghan government, which has little support in the Taliban heartlands, insists publicly it will not negotiate with the insurgents but frequent contacts are known to take place between unofficial emissaries.

Western governments also hold the line that the Taliban must not be negotiated with, but privately argue that dividing the insurgents and splitting the leadership is a legitimate strategy.

Javier Solana and the AoC

First of all what is it?

The AoC is the United Nations' Alliance of Civilizations initiative. I've only just learned of it, but it looks an out and out war has been called on any devote religious person. It doesn't matter if you are muslim, buddist or christian. If you do not blend your thinking along with theirs, it will not go easy with you.

From thir own website it states:

The initiative responds to a broad consensus across nations, cultures and religions that all societies are interdependent, bound together in their development and security, and in their environmental, economic and financial well-being. The Alliance seeks to forge collective political will and to mobilize concerted action at the institutional and civil society levels to overcome the prejudice, misperceptions and polarization that militate against such a consensus. And it hopes to contribute to a coalescing global movement which, reflecting the will of the vast majority of people, rejects extremism in any society.

Events of recent years have exacerbated mutual suspicion, fear and misunderstanding between Islamic and Western societies. This environment has been exploited by extremists throughout the world. Only a comprehensive coalition will be able to avert any further deterioration of relations between societies and nations, which could threaten international stability. The Alliance seeks to counter this trend by establishing a paradigm of mutual respect between civilizations and cultures.

I've bolded just what Christians need to worry about, beside everything.

Leftist leader wants US to 'rape' Israel

The chief editor of Israel's extreme left-wing daily newspaper Ha'aretz recently called on the Bush Administration to "rape" Israel by forcing it to accept Arab "peace" demands, columnist and international Jewish figure Isi Leibler revealed this week.

At a private dinner at the residence of the US ambassador to Israel on September 10, Ha'aretz Editor-in-Chief David Landau told US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that it has long been his "wet dream" to personally convey his views on the unresolved Israeli-Arab conflict to someone in her position.

Leibler wrote that during a portion of the evening in which the invited Israeli academics and media leaders were invited to express their positions, Landau announced that Israel is a "failed state" and that its government "wants to be raped" by the US.

Landau reportedly urged Rice to forcibly compel Israel to accept a regional peace settlement that would presumably favor the Arabs, as he called for no similar pressure to be put on the Arab side, which remains uncompromising in its demands.

The New York Jewish Week picked up the story and discussed it with Landau, who said Leibler and others had inaccurately portrayed described the delivery of his remarks. Landau insisted that despite his use of crass language, his views had been expressed with great "sophistication," and had been well received by Rice.

The thee tornados (dreamt on Nov 25)

Last night I had a strange dream. It wasn't scary or anything but rather it leaves me expecting. Especially since it had not one but three tornadoes in it and anytime I dream of tornadoes, it's a sign for me to listen.

Here's the kicker though....My husband dreamed of three tornadoes last night as well.

My dream was this...

We were in some tall building, like those big expensive apartments buildings in the city. The room we were in was square and it had windows all the way around. I was staring out the back window with Lil' Brandon when off in the distance we saw a storm coming. It started in the an open plain and came closer. Like I said before, we weren't scared, rather we were excited. I calmly asked big Brandon,"Do you think we should clear out the closet?" He was watching from one of the side window, "Well, you might."

The closet was the same from our old house, and I began to pull out the crib (which we no longer have) and various other boxes. That's when I heard Brandon call me over.

The first tornado was passing us by, while it had been in the distance, it had been a dark gray, now it had lightened and had turned white. It passed right by the window where Brandon was. We all oohed and ahhed. The next two were coming..

They were criss-crossing in front of each other, making their way down the same alley. Next thing I knew it started to ice which eventually turned to snow.

Then I woke up. I woke up thinking about the significance about the three. Like it symbolized time. I recalled how the tornadoes had done some damage while they were dark and angry looking in the distance, but it didn't do anything by us.

I told Brandon about it and he quickly interrupted me and told me that he too had a dream. Brandon's dream was different. We were in the desert driving and noticed three tornadoes. Like mine there was first a small one, and then two bigger ones that were weaving back and forth. We again were not scared, but excited.

"Look Hannah" Brandon had said in his dream.

Isn't that weird? How random is that to have the two of us dream of three tornadoes, and them even acting the same? First the little, and then the two that weaved back and forth.
I'm gonna put this dream in my journal as I can't help but wonder what it means.

I have not written in awhile. I didn't know what to say. There are times that silence speak louder than words.
Last week, the day found me wrapped up in worry. My mouth sealed from uttering thoughts that held no promise. My eyes I'm sure held the reflection of Misery, even as I tried to keep them close.

Yet I had a spark

Just a bit of hope to keep me going. and Today I find that He was faithful.

I have a long ways to go, but it's good to know that He is there...every step of the way.

Compassion

One of the best things about working in a hospital is that it keeps you humble. One cannot wipe bottoms all day and think they are better than someone else. The patient is embarrassed because they are exposed..I'm gentle because I can understand how it much feel to have some strange lady looking at my behind.

I have a Pet Peeve

It's not a bad one, but it does cause me great concern simply because I feel everyone deserves to be respected.

Lack of respect I can't stand it. I can't stand when my children are disrespectful, I can't stand if grown-ups are disrespectful towards waitresses...I can't stand when I find myself being disrespectful.

However...one of my biggest pet peeves??? (BTW this is number 199) the way nurses or nurses aides talk to patients.

Today was a challenging day..I will not lie. I felt like my favorite quote:

A walking laxative

Every room that I went into today, the patient either 1)had to go to the bathroom, 2)had gone to the bathroom in bed, or 3) gave me the gift that kept on giving...gagging

Now, diaper changing and *Code Brown clean-up are normally nursing duties. I being a therapist's aide...help with equipment and exercise and the physical torture of a patient fresh out of surgery.
However, it is not beneath me to offer a helping hand in the clean-up simply because I really, really like my work. If I were a therapist, I'd probably get fired for being "too helpful" and not meeting the productivity standards hospitals have.(bowel care is considered "non-productive" I have no idea why however, some of them produce massive amounts!)

I called in a PCS (patient care specialist? I don't know...we called them CNA's in Ca.)
to help me. Well in walked two of them. The woman was in a bad mood, and the black gentleman was new, and checking me out.
The things they said were so embarrassing. They bitched and moaned over having to wipe the patient...as if she wasn't there??!

I tried to maintain eye contact with her, letting her know that I was sorry, but she kept her head down most of the time.

Next room, dirty patient. She was a confused 95 year old. Okay, you know what???? this could be my grandmother...or yours. I WILL NOT allow her to lie in her own feces, just because it's too much trouble to roll a woman who can't hear, in bed.
So the therapist and I cleaned her.

I will be honest. It's not pleasant work, and I can understand the desire to run away from fumes and what-not. I couldn't eat lunch today. They were serving mounds of mashed potatoes and cheese covered crap. Everyone at my table eagerly dug in, while I stuck to crispy lettuce (salad)..anything that did not have the look of already being digested.

It breaks my heart, really. And it only gets worse with the degree. The RN's talk down to you because they think you don't know anything...the Drs. yell at the nurses in front of everyone, because they think they're Gods..

I say give everyone a washcloth and send them into "Humility's Room" and scrub ass for a minute. There is nothing proud about that work. Having your face that close, is the true definition of "Kissing some Ass"
But you know what? It's the ones who clean and feed, and fill the water pitchers with a smile on their face and a gentle word of encouragment on their lips that get the most respect from the patient. It is the therapist aide that is afraid of jarring a newly placed hip, that is kissed on the cheek for not hurting them.
It is the Dr, that works in an underprivilaged hospital for near to nothing, that is baked the apple pie.

This is what makes it all worth it to me. To hear how a patient asked

"Where is that darker skinned girl (remember, I'm out in the mid-west) She had such a beautiful smile and such gentle hands....Tell her hi for me okay?"

That's not hundreds of dollars...but let me tell you,
It goes a long way

It makes me feel like I'm worth something. It makes me feel like a christian

Nadia was delivered by caesarean section in the local maternity hospital in the Altai region on September 17, joining eight sisters and three brothers, a local reporter said.
"We were all simply in shock," said Nadia's mother, Tatyana Barabanova, 43. "What did the father say? He couldn't say a thing -- he just stood there blinking."
"I ate everything, we don't have the money for special foods so I just ate potatoes, noodles and tomatoes," she told the reporter, adding that all her previous babies had weighed more than 5 kg.
The Guinness World Records lists a 10.2 kg baby boy born in Italy in 1955, and a 10.8 kg baby boy who was born in the United States in 1879 but died 11 hours later.
The average weight for most healthy newborn babies is around 3.2 kg (7.06 lb), according to World Health Organisation figures.

I have been studying the Book of Daniel with Brandon and Michael. I should have remembered what happens when I return to every day Bible reading. All day yesterday, I fought against my head's miserable shaking... I was dizzy and couldn't focus my eyes. At first glance that was my body's usual signs of immense stress, or even a blood sugar drop. Or maybe it's visa-versa...

By the time I got home in the evening, I felt only somewhat better. The shaking was a bit more tolerable. After Brandon left for work in the evening, I sat down to do my reading.

I couldn't see...or rather, I couldn't focus very long on one word. So I pulled up the passages online...

Daniel 4-5. the writing on the wall. I started to write my thoughts on the subject, when a great fear came over me as my head started to shake very violently and I because sick to my stomach.

I threw up. Grabbing glass after glass of iced tea, did not help afterward. Normally after I vomit, I feel better as the brain releases seratonin. Not tonight.

My heart started to pound and I grew jumpy. I avoided looking into shadows and had to fight dark thoughts that crept into my mind.

This was a panic attack

I am deeply afraid of that which is spiritual. Ever since I was 10, the thought of God and of demons scared me speechless. This is why I struggle so hard in keeping up with my daily readings.
I had been e-mailing Brandon and he asked what I thought of the passage, and suddenly I only saw fear. My mind wandered to what if I saw a hand writing on the wall...I told him I didn't want to talk about and for him to call me.

It was 1:00. The boogeyman always chooses that hour to come I curled upon the floor with the babies, and played the radio station that Brandon worked at. I closed my eyes against the dark, willing my seemingly fast beating heart to slow down. It was beating like it should.
I think I finally fell asleep about 3:00 am...and dreamed of nothing..Thank God.

I woke up at about 5:45 and my head started shaking violently again.

I know this is partly blood sugar, and stress..but it was triggered by fear. I e-mailed Michael and Brandon and told them what was going on. They said they'd pray and after a time, the feelings lessened until they finally went away after lunch today.

I told them I was still going to read and post the verses. They sort of look to me to do so. Especially Brandon.

The boogeyman can only do so much before God tells him to go away. I will try and read through it.

"People Never Crumble in a Day"

It began with a bad dream. I found myself running once again. One cannot run very far from their own mind.
So we numb ourselves to all thought

Then one day Truth decides to give you little nudge. As you stare at your complexion in the mirror, masks are cast aside and you are revealed. If you are one that holds on to Truth as I do, then you cannot walk away and forget.

I am tired of me

I am sure this is once more God bringing one more thing to surface that I need to change. Growing is never an easy process. I have tried so many times before, only this time feels a bit different. I can feel Him calling me closer, and I am responding...even though I still struggle.

Does this make me still evil? Or does He see that my desire to change is just a little weaker than that I have to give up?

I would long to ask Him that..and yet the answer terrifies me to death.

This I suppose all stems from my struggle with how I view Him. Is He that great and powerful Father that sits there ready to show His love by discipline? Or is He some God that loves no matter what, and He is really just waiting for me to change?

Do I need to change first to go before Him...or first go to Him to change?

I was confident when I spoke to Brandon and told Him that God wants Him to come just as he is...
Why is it that I have such a hard time believeing that myself?

Then again, I do believe or else I would not be pursing Him so...

Ack! My head hurts from thinking too much.

Into the Desert

I had this weird dream this morning. I dreamt that I was at my mom's and my husband was there. He was trying to read scripture to me. I tuned him out. Then my mom and step-dad opened their Bible and read something. I didn't want to listen but I listened anyway. It was a woman named Marta talking to God. He was telling her that she was going into a desert. I remember thinking that Marta's named symbolized Martyers.(might be spelled wrong) Then she asked, How long will I have to suffer?I tried to find that verse in the Bible, it wasn't there.

I had this dream 7 years ago. I believe that it did come to pass, as the next 7 years were hell for me. I turned away from God because His voice hurt so bad, that I couldn't stand it. I fell away, each day becoming more and more distraught of the position I was in.

You see only a couple of years prior, I was flying high on His love. Everything was good and I could overcome all. My marriage was crap, but He was going to fix that. I read every day, witnessed to strangers at every opportunity.

Here I was, working at a bank and people would call in for their balances..something would spark a conversation about God and I wou ld just happen to be reading a chapter in the Bible about that very thing. That happened 4 or 5 times a day.

When I saw that my faith meant nothing to my ex, I fell apart. I went in the opposite direction. You know the saying...If you can't beat them..you might as well join them? Well that's what I did.
I begin to drink and party as he did. Only I felt terrible. Every day I looked into the mirror a little less. (to this day I can't stand the sight of me in a mirror)
Finally I moved out.

Well I was still a "good christian" and I let him come back home. Even after the cheating and drug use, I wanted to believe that he'd change. He didn't...and I tried to kill myself.
I remember lying there on the hospital bed..,just praying as hard as I could for Jesus to come and get me. He didn't, I heard nothing but the swishing sound of my feet under crisp hospital sheets.

Well, He saved me. And I grew more despondent. I went into a "coma" for next couple of years.

I didn't realize the next few would be even more painful.

My grandfather had gotten sick and had passed away in Sept 2003. It was harder than I even could imagine. I ended up moving into his house. My life while was better minute by minute because I was away from my ex...it became another kind of hell.

That was 4 years ago.

My journal will be mainly about what I am going through now.

I have since remarried and have had two more kids...my total is 4. I have been crying, wishing for some kind of spiritual connection with another for the last couple of years. I have moved and gone to 4 or more churches only to find them preaching about expanding and our Purpose in Life.

I have only warning lights in my head concerning them.

Right now I am seeking those who crave Him...we have tasted even if only once, the sweetness of His love and want more...we are not satisfied with the watered-down version of Truth. We want the meat...

I have met much opposition lately. I have been "chastised" for reading the Old Testament.

Honestly? I understand that Grace is all I need, I don't need to understand that. I am searching for something deeper. I am grounding myself in HIStory. I am so amazed at what He did back then...I believe He can do that again...and still does. I read about Daniel and the lions den.. I read about the Israelites and see how despite proof they often fell away...I NEED that right now.

I need to be able to raise my hand in triumph and say MY GOD IS AWESOME!
Not My God loved me ..Is that wrong? For the new believer I can understand why they'd need to hear that...I am not a new believer though.

I am wanting to see the awesomeness...the power of God. I know He loves...I know He saves...I want to see what He does after that.
